As one of the most approachable members of the “W” family, it brings classic Kawasaki heritage to the everyday ride with its compact form, retro-inspired styling, and lightweight agility.
Drawing inspiration from Kawasaki’s iconic LTD models, the W175 LTD blends timeless design with modern-day functionality. A well-cushioned stepped seat, pullback-style handlebar, and rigid semi-double cradle frame create a relaxed, upright riding position that makes city travel a pleasure. With its low seat height and light chassis, this rider-friendly machine is built for confident navigation through urban environments.
The W175 LTD is more than just a practical city bike – it’s a statement. Details like cast wheels, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and vibrant color options in Ebony or Candy Emerald Green give it a relaxed yet unmistakably confident presence. Designed to deliver comfort, control, and charisma in every ride, the W175 LTD truly is a ride of passage.
W175 LTD HIGHLIGHTS:
● Fuel-injected 177cc single engine
● Highly rigid semi-double cradle frame
● ABS-equipped front brake
● Full-size 17” front and rear wheels
● Roomy ergonomics
● Authentic LTD styling with two distinct colorways
ENGINE
At the heart of the Kawasaki W175 LTD lies a robust and rider-friendly 177cc air-cooled, SOHC single-cylinder engine, perfectly suited for urban exploration. Tuned for strong low to mid-range torque, the engine delivers a smooth yet responsive character that makes navigating city streets or back roads comfortable and enjoyable. The carefully designed cam profile and valve timing work in harmony with the flywheel mass to ensure strong pull at low rpm, reducing the likelihood of stalling when moving from a stop.
The engine is equipped with a modern fuel injection system featuring a 28mm throttle body, providing precise throttle response and consistent fuel delivery. This system contributes to stable performance and helps with starts whether the engine is hot or cold. Complementing this is an electric starter to facilitate ignition. A crankshaft balancer minimizes unwanted vibration while preserving just enough of the engine’s natural pulse to give the W175 LTD its engaging character.
To ensure smooth performance across a variety of riding conditions, the engine pairs with a 5-speed transmission designed to maximize the engine’s torque. Involute splines on the transmission shafts reduce play between components, contributing to a solid, positive shift feel. A screw-type cam chain tensioner enhances reliability at high rpm, reducing friction and supporting stable performance. Meanwhile, an efficient AC generator and open-type regulator ensure strong power output for the bike’s 60W headlamp and other electrical components.
Visually, the engine plays a key role in the W175 LTD’s classic aesthetic. The simple, high-volume design is enhanced by functional cooling fins and blacked-out components – including the starter motor and tensioner – creating a sleek, unified look. Silver bolts add a tasteful contrast, while the rounded engine covers and compact spark plug cap further elevate the design. A matte-black peashooter-style muffler with a curved header pipe adds to the retro appeal and complements the engine’s silhouette, delivering a crisp exhaust note that enhances the ride’s sensory experience.

ENGINE
The Ninja 300 ABS is powered by a highly refined 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that blends strong performance with everyday usability. Featuring a bore and stroke of 62.0 x 49.0mm, the engine benefits from lightweight pistons with flat crowns that maximize combustion efficiency, paired with a 10.6:1 compression ratio that helps reduce piston operating temperatures for improved reliability. The pistons’ hard alumite coating, along with a unique underside groove that channels cooling oil, further contributes to durability and consistent performance. With a maximum of 13,000 RPM, riders can enjoy a wide powerband that delivers excitement across the rev range.
Advanced engineering contributes to smoothness and rider comfort as well. A balancer shaft, partial rubber engine mounting, and carefully designed crank web work together to reduce vibration and deliver a refined, confidence-inspiring ride. The sleeveless, die-cast aluminum cylinder with plated bores – similar to Kawasaki’s high-performance Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R models –features an open-deck design for excellent heat dissipation. Cooling efficiency is further optimized by a rectangular coolant entrance, redesigned water impeller, and fins integrated into the large-capacity oil pan, all helping maintain stable engine temperatures under varying conditions.
The fuel injection system enhances both performance and efficiency. Dual throttle valves paired with 32mm main and 40.2mm sub-throttle valves regulate intake flow with precision, producing smooth, linear throttle response across the rpm range. Fine-atomizing injectors, delivering fuel with droplet sizes as small as 60 µm, ensure optimal combustion, while lightweight Denso ignition coils minimize interference. Together, these systems provide reliable starting, responsive power delivery, and favorable fuel consumption.
Complementing the intake system, the Ninja 300 ABS features a stainless steel 2-into-1 exhaust system engineered for both performance and practicality. The short silencer design allows for ample lean angles while its complex cross-section provides necessary volume and contributes to reduced noise output. Large header pipes, a curved center pipe tailored to engine displacement, and a single honeycomb catalyzer help ensure strong low- to mid-range performance. Rounding out the powertrain, Kawasaki’s Assist & Slipper Clutch – developed with racing feedback – offers a light clutch lever feel during normal riding and reduces back-torque during sudden downshifts, helping maintain stability and control.
2027 KAWASAKI KX327X AND KX327 MOTORCYCLES
A TWO-STROKE REVOLUTION
Aiming for the podium is one of the greatest thrills in off-road riding, but the true joy goes beyond competition. It lives in the challenge of conquering technical terrain, navigating through wooded trails, and pushing through rocky sections alongside friends and family. To capture that experience, Kawasaki introduces the all-new KX327X and KX327 –high-performance machines that combine a championship-proven chassis derived from its flagship KX450F with a completely new fuel-injected 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, purpose-built for modern off-road riding.
Marking Kawasaki’s first new 2-stroke model over 250cc in more than two decades, the 327cc engine delivers a new level of controllability and performance. Its flat torque curve and precise fuel injection ensure smooth, predictable power delivery from ultra-low to mid rpm, allowing riders to maintain traction and momentum through technical sections without hesitation. The engine provides consistent performance in any environment, while its inherently lightweight 2-stroke design helps achieve a total vehicle weight comparable to a 250cc-class 4-stroke. Staying true to its roots, the use of pre-mix lubrication adds a simple, nostalgic element that enhances the overall riding experience.
Supporting the engine is a chassis built around Kawasaki’s aluminum perimeter frame, delivering the balanced handling and stability riders expect from the KX family. High-performance suspension components provide excellent front-end feedback, precise cornering, and composure at speed, while aggressive Lime Green bodywork and slim, rider-focused ergonomics reinforce the bike’s race-ready intent. By delivering strong traction and a highly manageable power character, the engine helps riders maintain momentum and control through demanding off-road situations. Complementing the engine package is a durable, race-inspired hydraulic clutch system designed to provide smooth engagement and consistent feel in challenging terrain. The clutch was engineered to deliver precise control and strong connection to the rear wheel, helping riders confidently manage traction and power delivery through technical sections, tight corners, and changing trail conditions.
The 6-speed transmission on the KX327X covers a wide range of riding conditions and, when paired with the engine’s strong low-rpm performance, enables effortless progress through rough terrain and over obstacles. First-gear ratios were optimized for tight technical sections and help facilitate front wheel lift for overcoming obstacles encountered on the trail. A close-ratio 5-speed transmission is used on the KX327 and was designed to help riders stay within the engine’s powerband while delivering strong acceleration and responsive performance on motocross tracks.
A newly designed exhaust valve system developed specifically for the 2-stroke engine further enhances the broad and usable power delivery characteristics of the KX327X and KX327.
