2026 Yamaha MT-07: TORQUE-LADEN FUN.

Introducing the new 2026 Yamaha MT-07…

The new 2025 MT-07 is the highest specification yet, including new radially mounted front brake calipers, 41 mm inverted forks, lightweight SpinForged wheels and striking next-generation MT styling.

The latest MT-07 features the highest spec yet, including radially mounted front brake calipers, 41mm inverted forks and lightweight SpinForged wheels. This contributes to a motorcycle with heightened levels of agility, while the innovative acoustic amplifying technology optimizes the intake noise and unleashes the famous CP2 growl for the most engaging and immersive ride yet.

The MT-07 has been among Europe’s best selling motorcycles since its launch, and for good reason. It delivers one of the purest and most thrilling riding experiences, inspired by the riding sub-cultures found on the urban streets of Japan. Famed for its light weight, agile handling and torque-laden CP2 engine, the MT-07 is now punchier than ever. This latest evolution features new styling, chassis updates and technologies to further enhance the riding experience, while not detracting from what has made the MT-07 one of the most important motorcycles of the last decade: grin-inducing fun.

The compact new look perfectly embodies the MT-07’s stripped-back nature, with a revised and more commanding riding position and a distinctive identity driven by the minimalist LED headlight unit. With engineering and styling in perfect harmony, nothing has been added to the MT-07 unless it truly adds to the riding experience. The result is a motorcycle which is fleet of foot yet punching hard, elevating the Dark Side of Japan attitude to a whole new level.

Revolutionising the way we ride, Y-AMT creates a whole new riding experience – and MT-07 can be equipped with Y-AMT to experience this new dimension. Choose between manual shifting via a finger-operated see-saw switch, or opt for a fully automatic transmission when you need to. Y-AMT works in perfect harmony with Yamaha Ride Control (YRC)’s electronic features, while cruise control further reduces effort for relaxed highway riding. *Cruise Control only available on the MT-07 Y-AMT

All-new minimalist styling
MT-07 gets a new stripped-back look with a distinctive ‘face’ from the minimalist LED headlight unit, straight from the Dark Side of Japan. With engineering and styling in perfect harmony, nothing is added to the MT-07 unless it truly enhances the riding experience. The result is a motorcycle which connects to its rider in a way few others can match.

Electronic throttle, YRC riding modes and switchable TCS
YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) facilitates a new generation of electronic aids and contributes to an even more linear power delivery to create a greater connection between rider and machine. Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) allows you to choose between two throttle maps and switchable traction control, with the option of a customisable YRC mode to match your own preferences.

Acoustic amplifying technology
Contributing to the visceral connection between rider and machine, the MT-07 features a sound amplification system which harnesses the bike’s induction roar, enhancing and channeling it to the rider to increase the grin-inducing feeling offered by the MT’s famous torque.

Highly responsive adjustable suspension
New 41mm ‘upside down’ forks offer high levels of control and an intuitive level of connection with the front tyre, all while giving a modern look to the MT-07. The highly responsive forks are matched to a linked-type rear shock absorber, which is adjustable for both preload and rebound damping, creating a sporting ride every time.

Lightweight SpinForged wheels with Dunlop radial tyres

Always known for its engaging response and linear torque delivery, internal upgrades to the latest MT-07 gives it even more accessible performance, improved torque, a vibrant soundtrack and a refined gear change, especially with Y-AMT.

Commanding riding position
Known for creating a strong sense of unity between rider and machine, the ergonomics of the latest MT-07 are sportier than ever. The wide tapered aluminium handlebars are now lower and closer to the rider, while the rider triangle makes the MT-07 more agile, as well as suitable for all riders with its 805mm seat height.

The new turn signals are now self-cancelling and offer ‘three flash’ function for changing lanes. Also new, Emergency Stop Signalling automatically detects emergency braking and applies the indicator lights to automatically notify other road users.

All-New Minimalist Styling

The 2025 MT-07 gets an all-new stripped-back look with a minimalist LED headlight unit creating the striking new face clearly inspired by the Dark Side of Japan’s distinctively modern styling aesthetic. With engineering and styling in perfect harmony, nothing is added to the MT-07 unless it truly enhances the riding experience. The result is a motorcycle which connects to its rider in a way few others can match.

Lightweight SpinForged Wheels

Contributing to a lighter and more agile MT-07, the wheels have been manufactured using Yamaha’s patented SpinForged technology. This allows for a thinner and lighter casting, without compromising strength.

New Five-Inch TFT & Enhanced Connectivity

A new five-inch full-color TFT instrument display features four selectable themes. Enhanced connectivity allows riders to receive message notifications, calls and listen to music (through use of an aftermarket Bluetooth® headset, not provided). Additionally, full turn-by-turn navigation is now available through the Garmin® StreetCross app.

New Switchgear & Self-Cancelling Indicators

A new integrated handlebar switch assembly enables operation of the MT-07’s wider range of functions viewable on the new TFT display, including smartphone connectivity, YRC riding modes and navigating menu options. New turn signal functions further enhance the riding experience. A soft click of the indicator switch will flash the turn signals three times, while a full click will flash continuously. Turn signals also self-cancel after 15 seconds and once the bike has travelled for more than 500 feet.

Commanding Riding Position

To match the more rigid frame and sport-oriented suspension, ergonomics of the latest MT-07 are now more engaged with wide tapered aluminum handlebars that are slightly lower and closer to the rider, along with a slimmer fuel tank and seat for an easier reach to the ground, enhanced hold with the knees and stronger sense of connection to the machine.
