2027 Honda CRF125F: HIGHER SEAT. BIG WHEELS. MORE CLEARANCE.
Introducing the 2027 Honda CRF125F…
The standard version has a relatively low 29.1-inch seat height, made possible by 17-inch and 14-inch front and rear wheel sizes, respectively. Front and rear wheel-travel measurements are 5.9 inches and 5.5 inches, and ground clearance is 8.3 inches.
One of Honda’s most approachable and confidence-inspiring trail bikes, the CRF125F is designed to help newer riders build skills while still delivering engaging performance as their abilities progress. Available in a standard version and a larger configuration called the CRF125F Big Wheel, this model combines a smooth, fuel-injected 125cc air-cooled four-stroke engine with a durable steel frame and compliant suspension. Features like push-button electric start, a four-speed transmission with manual clutch, and Honda’s Pro-Link® rear suspension contribute to a user-friendly yet capable package that performs reliably across a wide range of off-road terrain. Both versions are 50-state off-road legal, and both deliver the quality and reliability for which Honda is known.

HISTORY
Over the years, Honda’s small-displacement four-stroke off-road bikes have been enjoyed by riders of widely varying experience and skill levels, earning these machines a reputation for being extremely fun and durable.
Introduced for the 2014 year as a replacement for the CRF80F and CRF100F, Honda’s CRF125F has always been offered in two configurations—a standard version and (for larger riders) a Big Wheel version with bigger-diameter wheels, increased suspension travel and a higher seat.
A series of popular enhancements came for the 2019 model year, including electronic fuel injection, updates to the frame and bodywork, and increased suspension travel.

Completely redesigned CRF450 Performance Models Headline Honda’s 2027 Off-Road Announcement
In an extensive new-model announcement today, Honda unveiled a sweeping overhaul of its 2027 CRF450 Performance models, highlighted by the most comprehensive update to the CRF450R in a decade. Developed with direct input from HRC’s factory racing programs, Honda’s new flagship motocrosser combines a lighter, more powerful engine with comprehensive chassis and suspension revisions for a more capable, more confidence-inspiring race machine that gives riders a clear competitive edge.
The announcement spans the brand’s complete dirt bike portfolio. The same improvements to the CRF450R extend to its HRC WORKS EDITION and RX siblings, while the CRF250R, CRF250R HRC WORKS EDITION and CRF250RX receive targeted updates. Also returning are the trail-and-tarmac CRF450RL and the Baja-dominating CRF450X. Meanwhile, the CRF Trail family continues to spread the love of off-road adventure far and wide.
“Off-road riding is in Honda’s DNA, and our fully revamped 2027 450 CRF Performance models—developed alongside HRC’s factory racing programs—reflect everything we’ve learned at the highest levels of competition,” said Colin Miller, Manager of Experiential Marketing at American Honda. “That philosophy extends across Honda’s broader off-road lineup, from our three updated CRF250 models to the dual-sport CRF450RL, the rugged CRF450X, and the CRF Trail family that introduces new riders to the sport. Whether you’re chasing championships, exploring the backcountry on the weekend, or getting your young riders started on two wheels, there’s a CRF that’s just right for you.”

STYLING / DESIGN
Designed with modern aesthetics, both versions of the CRF125F feature bodywork and graphics that are inspired by those of the CRF Performance line. The same goes for the frame design; in this case it is constructed of steel rather than aluminum, and it protects the fuel tank in the event of a fall.
The half-waffle grips are comfortable for hands of varying sizes, and the front brake lever is adjustable. The 1-gallon steel fuel tank features an integrated fuel pump and filter. A handlebar-mounted multifunction switch includes the starter button, ignition indicator, fuel-injection system status and a low-fuel light that illuminates when only .2 gallons remain.
ENGINE / DRIVETRAIN
The CRF125F’s 124.9cc single-overhead cam engine has bore and stroke dimensions of 52.4mm and 57.9mm, respectively. An electronically controlled Keihin fuel-injection system keeps the engine running cleanly and smoothly, and minimizes maintenance. The power plant is tuned to produce good low-end torque right off idle, making it easy for new riders to learn how to take off from a standing start, while they also quickly become skilled at the many other nuances of manual-clutch operation and gear shifts. There’s plenty of pull throughout the powerband, enough to make the model a wonderful means for exploring. A convenient electric starter makes life easy out on the trail, and there’s a backup kickstart as well. Both versions of the CRF125F are 50-state off-road legal.
CHASSIS / SUSPENSION
The CRF125F and CRF125F Big Wheel are designed to cater to different rider sizes and preferences, with the former featuring a 29.1-inch seat height and 17- and 14-inch front and rear wheels, respectively, while the Big Wheel version offers a taller 30.9-inch seat height and larger 19- and 16-inch wheels. Both models share a twin-spar steel frame featuring architecture inspired by the CRF Performance line, with a balance of rigidity and comfort that is ideal for trail riding.
The 31mm conventional fork provides a plush ride, while the rear-suspension system uses a Pro-Link design with a single shock absorber for consistent performance. Front and rear wheel travel is 5.9 inches and 5.5 inches, respectively, on the standard version, while the Big Wheel has 6.7-inch and 6.6-inch wheel travel. Smooth, reliable stopping power is provided by a hydraulic front brake with a 220mm rotor and a 95mm rear drum brake.
The CRF125F has a curb weight of 194 pounds (including all required fluids and a full tank of fuel), while the CRF125F Big Wheel has a curb weight of 199 pounds.
