Oldenburg with a Top 20 Finish at Red Bud

The AMA Pro Motocross Championship made its traditional Fourth of July stop at the iconic RedBud MX in Buchanan, Michigan, for round five of the 2026 season. After insane weather and heavy rainfall pounded the area on Friday, the track developed into an absolute monster for race day. The mix of flooding and Michigan dirt created extremely challenging conditions—ranging from heavy muddy sand that pulled riders in, to hard-packed and slippery sections.

Mitchell Oldenburg showed solid speed and resilience early in the day. In the opening moto, he put together a steady ride, battling through a highly competitive 450 field to cross the finish line with a strong 16th-place finish. As the track broke down further in Moto 2, Oldenburg fought hard to bring the bike home in 27th. His 16-27 moto scores earned him 19th overall on the day, adding 6 championship points to his season total.

It was a highly challenging weekend for Benny Bloss. He never got into a good rhythm this round and couldn’t put in a clean moto at Red Bud. His 37-35 results placed him 36th overall for the weekend. The team will look to regroup this weekend at Southwick.

Results:
Mitchell Oldenburg » 16th/27th – 19th Place Overall » 450 Class
Benny Bloss » 37th/35th – 36th Place Overall » 450 Class
