Life’s a Berm. Then You Fly…

“Is there anything this bike doesn’t do well?” Cycle News asked just before naming the 2002 Yamaha YZ125 its “2001 125cc MX Shootout” winner. Well, if five 125 SX crowns and six straight MXA “125 of the Year” awards is any indication, the answer is no. (That’s two years in a row, by the way, that Yamaha has swept every major class in MXA’s “Bike of the Year” honors.)

High praise and laurels, however, are not something anyone can afford to rest upon. So, like its 250cc sibling, the YZ125 is a completely new animal for 2002.
