2015 BMW K1300S Review

2015 BMW K1300S on www.Totalmotorcycle.com

The interceptor. The athlete. Aerodynamic, avant-garde…

Do you know of another sporty bike with this profile? A bike that develops such pulling power with 175 hp that it take the heat out of many a 200 hp bike? But a bike you can still take out on a quick trip simply because it has great everyday suitability? At the same time a technological treat?

The BMW K 1300 S: supreme power with the sportiest of understatement. Why not try it out right away!

The BMW K 1300 S Motosport

An athlete in top form.

Even in the standard version, the BMW K 1300 S leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to performance. Can it be taken any further? It certainly can: even at first glance the K 1300 SS “Motorsport” special model looks like an athlete raring to go. In the paint finish Black Storm metallic and Light White non-metallic with the accentuation colour Lupin Blue metallic it instantly conveys the character of a power bike. The overall look is rounded off with a tinted windshield.

And the “Motorsport” special model has a whole lot to offer in terms of detail, too: the HP footrest system gives the rider individual setting options and is extra narrow for greater banking freedom. The hand-made Akrapovic silencer made of titanium produces a powerful sound as well as offering clear benefits in terms of weight. Its sporty light alloy forged wheels make the K 1300 S Motorsport even more agile.

And the engineers have made advances in the areas of comfort and safety, too: more efficient power transmission with Automatic Stability Control (ASC) provides increased riding safety. What is more, the electronic suspension with Dynamic ESA provides a uniquely secure ride feel: contact between road and tyres is tangibly improved by means of spring travel sensors.

If you’re out and about on the “Motorsport” special model there’s no longer any need to check tyre pressure manually: this is taken care of entirely by the automatic tyre pressure control system RDC. And it’s no longer necessary to use the clutch and release the accelerator when shifting up a gear quickly – thanks to the HP shift assistant.

A high level of ride comfort is also provided by the heated grips – when temperatures drop, at higher speeds or on lengthier trips.

The Motorsport special model gets even more out of the BMW K 1300 S, turning it into an uncompromising sports motorbike for all those who attach importance to an intense riding experience and high-end design.

The BMW K 1300 S Dynamic Package

Next exit – top performance: with the new Dynamic Package for the K 1300 S you are excellently equipped, whether for lengthy excursions or short sprints.

The HP shift assistant enables you to change gear quickly, putting you right up front without accelerator release or clutch. The heated grips with two-level adjustment and the on-board computer ensure dynamic riding fun, while the Safety Package with ASC and TPC also ensures the necessary safety.

Also included is ESA II which can be precisely adjusted at any time to adapt to varying road conditions, riding and load states. For agile handling and dynamic cornering without compromise. This package can also be combined with all paint finishes.

The BMW K 1300 S with Dynamic Package: the perfect combination for all those who want to be right up front.

2015 BMW K1300S www.Totalmotorcycle.com Key Features

The reasons: 103 ft-lb of torque from 1,293 cc – and at 8,250 rpm too. With a throaty sound from a cool, hexagonal tube. With catalytic converter and exhaust valve. And with fuel consumption and exhaust emission values which would suit many a machine with half the dynamic performance.

2015 BMW K1300S www.Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

With this jet, the whole concept of speed moves into a new dimension. This in-line 4-cylinder delivers its power in such a way that you can almost feel it when standing still. That’s because within the engine speed ranges in which you move more than 80% of the time – i.e. the lower and medium speed ranges – it delivers performance from the first yard. The real thing. And in terms of safety features, this machine is unique: ABS as standard with ASC and ESA optional. And the extras are amazing: race through the gears with the gear shift assistant, pure racing in view with the 2D HP dashboard.
