Upright Riding and Downright Comfort…

Anybody who thinks touring bikes need to be two-wheeled motorhomes hasn’t seen a Honda CTX700. Here’s a machine that embraces the best of motorcycling: light weight, low seat height, superior weather protection, plenty of easy-to-use power, and best of all, the freedom that comes when you strap on a helmet, slip into your favorite leather jacket, and get out on the road.

But the CTX700 isn’t just for vacations. Versatility is what this Honda does best. Equipped with a full fairing, it provides superior comfort and weather protection when you’re spending a long day in the saddle. The laid-back riding position, including the forward-set hand controls and footpegs, help make it comfortable for relaxed street rides. And a full range of Honda Genuine Accessories lets you set it up with saddlebags, backrests, and just about any other touring- or comfort-related feature you could ever want. Best of all, you can get the CTX700 in two versions: one with our conventional six-speed manual transmission and one equipped with our exclusive automatic transmission, the revolutionary Honda Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Engine & Drivetrain

Excels at low emissions

Placing the catalytic converter just downstream of the exhaust ports, where exhaust gas temperatures are highest, maximizes emission control efficiency. In fact, its emission output surpasses all Canadian standards by a wide margin.

Ride longer on less fuel

Concern over fuel costs won’t cut into your relaxation on longer trips. Extensive use of friction-reduction technology, advanced combustion control focused around a sophisticated fuel injection system and an overdrive six-speed transmission mean the CTX delivers exceptional, class leading fuel economy.

Large capacity smooth handling

The low-rpm, high-torque engine is eerily smooth and produces the kind of effortless power you can use to carry that special someone, and luggage for two, across town or across the country.

Distinctive sound & feel

Engineers went to great lengths to ensure the engine had a distinctive sound and feel. The 270-degree firing order, uniaxial primary counterbalance shaft and subtle combustion control measures combine to create a satisfying throb unlike anything you’ve felt before.

Handles like a smaller bike

Unique engine architecture, with parallel cylinders canted forward by 62 degrees, offers a remarkably low centre-of-gravity, making the CTX feel smaller, lighter and easier to handle than its size would suggest.

Chassis & Suspension

Anti-lock brake system

Powerful front and rear disc brakes feature Honda’s advanced ABS system, offering new levels of performance, safety and peace of mind in all weather conditions.

Hugs the road

Wide, 17” cast aluminum wheels at each end, shod with sporting radials, inspire confidence and will have you seeking out the more interesting roads.

Long-distance comfort & confidence

Suspension design further adds to the CTX’s long distance credentials. An advanced, single-shock, Pro-link rear suspension system provides superior comfort and control through increased, progressive travel. Up front, a stout 41mm front fork, mounted with sporting geometry, provides excellent feedback, enhancing confidence. If your idea of escape is chasing the sun into the next time zone, you’ll find the CTX700T a willing partner.

Solid construction & great handling

A rigid, diamond-shaped steel frame ensures both rock solid stability on high-speed highways and responsive handling when the road turns twisty.

Additional Features

Luxury honda accessories

Want to take long distance comfort a step further? Add a genuine Honda accessory tall windshield along with integrated, colour matched saddlebags, heated grips and a passenger backrest with carrier. With all this luxury, you’ll have no problem finding someone to share your adventures with you.

Added comfort for two

The full-coverage fairing and windshield really add to your comfort on the highway. Your travelling partner will be well taken care of too with a generous, plush seat and integrated grab handles for an added feeling of security.

LCD information at a glance

Modern, digital LCD instrumentation tells you everything you need to know on the road and includes speedometer, digital bar-type tachometer, clock, low fuel gauge and two tripmeters.

Efficient storage & stability

The CTX700T’s unique fuel tank placement creates room for a convenient storage compartment where the fuel tank is traditionally located, while retaining a low seat height that allows you to “flat foot” for added security when fully loaded.
