Bloss & Oldenburg Improving Early in the MX Season

The Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing Team headed to the iconic Prairie City SVRA this past Saturday for the Hangtown Motocross Classic, Round 2 of the Pro Motocross Championship. Known for its massive elevation changes and brutal, square-edged chop.

Benny Bloss put in a gritty, consistent ride against a stacked field. The track was a tale of two conditions: deep moisture in the morning that baked into a hard-packed, rutted surface by the afternoon. Bloss fought through the rough track to secure a solid 13th in Moto 1, followed by a 20th in Moto 2, coming from 40th place after a first lap incident. His effort earned him 15th overall on the round and championship points.

Mitchell Oldenburg was strong in qualifying with a 16th place in the session and running with excellent pace. However, as the track deteriorated in the afternoon, the bottomless ruts and racing lines added a different element. Despite that early speed, the tough afternoon motos resulted in 30th and 25th-place finishes, putting him 29th overall for the day. An improvement from round one to continue to build on. The series heads to Colorado this weekend for the third round.

“We took 15th overall at Hangtown this weekend. I made some steps forward, and I’m absolutely loving this 450 RX. Can’t wait to get back after it in Colorado this weekend.”

“Better weekend, but not anywhere close to where I need to be. It might take me all summer to figure this out, but I’m going to keep swinging and fighting! Huge shout-out to the team for doing absolutely everything they can to help make me better!”
