Circuit of The Americas Austin Texas Weekend Action

Team Suzuki Press Office – April 12. 

The second weekend of April sees Team SUZUKI ECSTAR riders Alex Rins and Joan Mir back are currently in action for Round 3 of the 2019 MotoGP™ Championship at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas with Alex Rins and Joan Mir aboard their GSX-RR machinery.

Rins currently holds 4th place in the series, with Rookie Mir 13th, after unfortunately having to pull-out of the previous round in Argentina; and following an impressive 8th position in his opening MotoGP™ race in Qatar.

This same event also plays host to Round 2 of the MotoAmerica AMA Superbike Championship; a series that former Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing MotoAmerica Champion Toni Elias now leads aboard his GSX-R1000 after last weekend’s opening round at Road Atlanta. His new team-mate Josh Herrin currently holds 9th following his 1st race DNF and 2nd race position of 5th last weekend.

Keeping all Suzuki’s major global action in America this weekend, the JGRMX/ Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team 450 and 250 riders travel to Broncos Stadium in Denver for round 15 of 17 in the Monster Energy AMA/ FIM World Supercross Championship.

April 13: Round 15. Monster Energy AMA/ FIM World Supercross Championship. Broncos Stadium. Denver. Colorado. USA. This event also incorporates Round 9 of the 250 West Regional Supercross series.

April 13-14:
 Round 2. EBC Brakes MotoAmerica/ AMA Superbike Championship. Circuit of The Americas. Austin. Texas. USA.

April 14: Round 3. MotoGP™. Circuit of The Americas. Austin. Texas. USA.
