| Building on a strong week that included a Superbike Race 1 win and two runner-up finishes in Supersport, the duo returned to the top step of the podium in the Isle of Man TT’s blue-riband race, repeating their 2019 victory | ||
| The Metzeler brand capped a historic Isle of Man TT event with Dean Harrison’s victory in the blue-riband Senior TT, after also winning the Superbike race last Sunday and securing two runner-up finishes in Supersport. For Metzeler and the British rider from Bradford, who have been working together for 14 years, this marks their second Senior TT success following their 2019 triumph. For the tyre brand, it is also a second consecutive Senior TT victory, following Davey Todd’s win in 2024, as the 2025 edition was cancelled. The success backed up a quartet of ‘big bike’ wins at the North West 200 and the singular running Superbike TT in 2025, all won using Metzeler RACETEC™ RR Slick tyres. This year’s event saw perfect conditions throughout ‘Practice Week’ but bad weather plagued the racing itself and indeed the Senior TT was heavily foreshortened after an incident.
Dean Harrison and his Honda CBR1000RR, fitted with Metzeler RACETEC™ RR Slick tyres, were among the standout performers across all categories at this legendary event. The 2026 event also witnessed Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness celebrate his 30th year of riding, so it was only fitting he should ride a demo lap of the challenging circuit on a road going Honda CBR1000RR-R sporting the all new Metzeler SPORTEC™ 01 RS road tyres. The activity mirrored the recent North West 200 promotion with Dean Harrison entertaining the fans on the Metzeler liveried Fireblade. |
