2016 Husqvarna TE300 www.Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

ENGINE

With a 54 hp power output, the TE 300 is the most powerful 2-stroke engine available today. The engine features a sophisticated exhaust valve that optimises power delivery and, combined with the Boyesen reed valve, offers excellent response and durability.

STANDARD MAP SWITCH

The engine characteristics can be tailored thanks to the standard map switch that modifies the CDI curve between two ignition curves according to rider preference, conditions and terrain. Further optimisation of the power delivery can be obtained by varying the spring stiffness in the exhaust valve.

NEW BREMBO HYDRAULIC CLUTCH

The TE 300 now features a new Brembo hydraulic clutch system. The high quality clutch system guarantees perfect modulation of the clutch in every condition. This means that the play is constantly compensated so that the pressure point and the function of the clutch remain identical in cold or hot conditions and over time. The Brembo clutch also features even wear characteristics and is nearly maintenance-free.

ELECTRIC AND KICK START

Standard electric start ensures effortless and reliable starting that is especially useful in difficult terrain. The TE 250 and TE 300 2-strokes have both an electric and a kick starter as standard.

CHROMIUM MOLYBDENUM STEEL FRAME

High-strength steel of the highest quality is laser cut and robot welded to exacting standards by WP Performance Systems, according to precise torsional rigidity, longitudinal flex and weight defined by our R&D department. Finely-tuned torsional rigidity provides sharp handling and stability, while calculated longitudinal flex helps absorb impacts from the terrain, working together with the suspension for better comfort and greater feedback. The lightweight design allows riders to confidently pick faster lines while maintaining race-winning pace over extended periods of time.

PERFECT ERGONOMICS

Ergonomics play a major role in rider feeling and confidence, so the handlebar can be adjusted in 4 different positions to adapt to a wide variety of riders. The stylish and modern bodywork has been designed for a perfect fit of man and machine, allowing for total control in all conditions for the most diverse body sizes. The new seat cover is highly resistant and greatly improves grip compared to the previous material. The colour is now a deep blue that integrates perfectly with the new colour of the bodywork.

POLYAMIDE REAR SUBFRAME

The lightweight, three-piece polyamide rear subframe is more flexible than a traditional aluminium rear subframe. Combined with the longitudinal flex of the frame and the rear linkage system, this gives riders a more comfortable and confidence-inspiring feeling on the bike, allowing them to push the limits in every condition and on any terrain. The design of the composite subframe features an integrated airbox and rear grab handles.

ALUMINIUM SWINGARM

A great deal of development effort has been put into designing the aluminium swingarm to reach the incredible targets that our pro riders set. The precisely designed flex of the swingarm allows riders to accurately feel the terrain, enabling them to feed the right amount of power to the rear wheel in order to optimise traction and speed. The single component construction of the aluminium swingarm eliminates welding, providing more reliability, stability and safety, as well as superior quality and consistent behaviour over time compared to other construction processes.

NEW FRONT AXLE AND FORK SHOES

Detail improvements and optimisation on the MY16 enduro bikes are based on the updated front end where a new 22 mm front axle with specific fork shoes replaces the previous 26 mm axle. The new axle is lighter, and the shoes have shorter offset and increased trail, for more stability and better front-end feel.

NEW TRIPLE CLAMP OFFSET

The CNC machined triple clamps on all the bikes now feature a 22 mm offset. The resultant reduction in trail balances the increased trail due to the new front axle and fork shoes, for optimal balance between agility and stability. The triple clamps are made of high quality materials, precisely machined and anodised in deep black, and are designed to evenly distribute the clamping force on the fork leg, maximising contact area for optimal sensitivity and minimum friction. Accurate flex has been designed into the triple clamps, perfectly complementing the fork, and transferring detailed information to the rider.

REAR LINK

Now in its third year of development, the rear linkage on the Husqvarna enduros has proven itself as the optimal choice for all riding styles and levels of rider ability. The versatile system performs well on the widest variety of terrain, from tight and technical trails, to wide open, high-speed tracks. The high level of comfort guaranteed by our linkage system allows riders to tackle rough terrain with optimal feeling and traction in every condition.

REVISED 4CS FORK SETUP

With the new offset on triple clamp and fork shoes, the 4CS setup has been revised to suit the new front-end geometry. Now in its 4th year of production, the 4CS fork has reached the perfect balance between performance, feeling and reliability. The four-chamber system on the 4CS fork has been developed to improve damping, handling, plushness and rider comfort, ideal characteristics for enduro. The clicker settings can be easily and quickly adjusted via the dials on the top of the fork tubes. The red dial on the right alters rebound damping, while the white dial on the left is for compression damping. WP suspension stands for top quality and offers the best performance levels. Precision engineering, quality materials and advanced production processes characterise the WP forks on the Husqvarna model range.

NEW FRONT AND REAR DISC BRAKES

New disc brakes by GFK at the front and rear, feature stronger braking power and increased control with a new design.

BLUE ANODISED REAR SPROCKET

The blue anodised Supersprox 2K rear sprocket is a valuable addition that takes the sporty looks to a new level, as well as improving quality and performance. High-strength steel teeth have at least 3 times longer life than an aluminium sprocket, while the lightweight aluminium inner ring reduces unsprung weight by 50% compared to steel sprockets.

LARGE CAPACITY FUEL TANK

The largest fuel tank in the competition enduro category is featured on the Husqvarna 2-strokes. Be it in typical European forest terrain or out in the wide-open spaces of Australia or the USA, the 11 litre fuel tank on the 2-strokes is 1.5 litres bigger than the closest rival. The polythene fuel tanks feature an easy opening bayonet-type filler cap.

DID WHEELS
