2023 Honda CBR600RR ABS: SUPERSPORT SUPREME.

Introducing the 2023 Honda CBR600RR ABS…

Inline fours are the apex predators of the sportbike world. This is the kind of engine that our MotoGP and World Superbike riders race. And if you’ve ever ridden a bike like our CBR600RR it’s easy to see why. The engines are super-responsive and high revving. The handling is scalpel sharp. And our CBR600RR combines all that with the light weight of a 600-class machine—and light weight is the key to all sorts of performance benefits. A rare breed these days, fours like the CBR600RR and our bigger CBR1000RR are a delight for track-day use, and outstanding on twisty back roads. Available in both ABS and non-ABS versions. It’s a bike anyone can appreciate, but one that the most demanding riders will love.

Purpose-built for carving up winding canyon roads and clocking fast laps on the track, Honda’s CBR600RR is a proven supersport machine. Its high-revving, responsive inline four-cylinder engine is matched with a light-handling chassis and high-performance Showa suspension for making quick work of the tightest corners on the track or on the backroads. With a decorated resume that includes eight World Supersport titles (nine if you count its CBR600F predecessor), the CBR600RR has been tested, developed and proven at the highest level.

2023 Honda CBR600RR ABS Totalmotorcycle.com Key Features

BRAKING

RADIAL MOUNTED FRONT-BRAKE CALIPERS

The CBR600RR uses radial-mounted monoblock front-brake calipers. This construction makes the caliper stiffer, and that means you get better brake feel for more linear, powerful stopping. Each caliper also uses four chromium-plated aluminum pistons for smooth, friction-free operation.

ENGINEERING

CENTRALLY LOCATED FUEL TANK

The CBR600RR’s 4.8-gallon fuel tank is positioned in the center of the chassis and low in the frame. This allows for a more compact design, but even more important helps centralize the bike’s mass. Increased mass centralization means the CBR is more responsive to rider input, especially when leaning the bike into a turn or standing it up at the exit.

HANDLING

Honda ELECTRONIC STEERING DAMPER

Most steering dampers only sense handlebar-deflection speed. The Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) is way more sophisticated. It also detects vehicle speed, and adjusts damping proportionally. That helps maintain low-speed maneuverability while providing excellent, predictable high-speed handling.

PERFORMANCE

DUAL-STAGE FUEL INJECTION

Two sets of injectors per cylinder ensure both low- and high-rpm performance. You get near-instantaneous high-rpm response, along with great low-rpm metering and clean running.

LINE-BEAM HEADLIGHTS

Line-beam headlights feature a two-piece reflector design that utilizes two H7 bulbs for optimum light distribution and unique compact design. The result: the headlight helps you see better and also helps make you visible to traffic.

Honda MULTI-ACTION SYSTEM INVERTED FORK

The HMAS cartridge fork features an exclusive internal piston construction. The innovative design employs smaller-diameter pistons to keep oil velocity high for improved damping characteristics and an expanded range of adjustability. The result: you get more precise suspension performance, especially over smaller surface irregularities.

UNIT PRO-LINK® SUSPENSION

By eliminating the frame-mounted top shock mount, Unit Pro-Link® isolates the chassis from bumps, resulting in more precise handling and better traction. Developed on our championship-winning MotoGP bikes, it’s a perfect example of the CBR’s superior engineering.

12-SPOKE WHEELS

With their consistent rigidity and balance, these sharp-looking 12-spoke cast aluminum wheels work with the fork and enhance suspension feedback to deliver real handling improvements.

PERFORMANCE

DUAL-STAGE FUEL INJECTION

Two sets of injectors per cylinder ensure both low- and high-rpm performance. You get near-instantaneous high-rpm response, along with great low-rpm metering and clean running.

DUAL-STAGE RAM AIR

A nose-mounted, two-stage ram air system provides a high volume of cool air to the air box for linear power delivery and superb engine performance.

Honda Reveals New “Bagger” Rebel and Returning Motorcycle Models for 2023

  • New Rebel 1100T DCT offers “bagger” cruiser styling and convenience
  • Announcement includes on-road models from five categories
  • For the 2023 model year, American Honda announces the return of 11 on-road motorcycle models. From cruisers to miniMOTOs, scooters and sport bikes, the announcement includes a diverse range of motorcycles that showcase the breadth of Honda’s lineup.

The highlight of the announcement is the new “T” trim level of the Rebel 1100 platform. The Rebel 1100T DCT builds on the success of Honda’s “new-school” cruiser platform with “bagger” styling (including wind protection and substantial cargo space), as well as Honda’s advanced dual clutch transmission (DCT). In addition to this new version, the standard Rebel 1100 is back in both manual-transmission and DCT iterations. Other confirmed returning 2023 cruisers include the Rebel 500 and 300—offered in several trim levels and new colors for 2023—as well as the classic Shadow Aero and bobber-inspired Shadow Phantom.

Returning sport bike models include the value-driven CBR1000RR, the agile CBR600RR and the entry-level sport-naked CB300R. The touring-focused NC750X continues to deliver incredible versatility for 2023, and it’s available with DCT or a manual transmission. A pair of miniMOTO models—the best-selling Super Cub and the nostalgic Monkey—both feature available ABS and receive new colors for the new model year. The adventure-inspired ADV150 scooter is back for 2023 as well.

“This announcement covers nearly every category of on-road motorcycle, which is a testament to how deep our product offering is,” said Brandon Wilson, Manager of Sports and Experiential at American Honda. “While each model has a distinct goal in mind, they all benefit from Honda’s renowned premium build quality and reliability. Whether it’s for the first-time rider or the weekend warrior, we’re committed to delivering the best possible ownership and riding experiences to all of our passionate two-wheel customers.”
