Introducing the 2023 Vespa GTS Super 300…

A Vespa with a contemporary touch that ensures you’ll turn heads wherever you go, this is the perfect scooter for riders who look to inject originality, elegance and joy into every day.

Stand out from the crowd
When you’re in the seat of your Vespa GTS Super, be prepared to attract attention wherever you go. Gleaming chrome combines with glorious pastels and bright colours to showcase a palette that also matches the saddle and interiors. This is a Vespa designed to capture your heart at first glance, and not a single detail is left to chance.

Super dynamic
The Vespa GTS Super’s 300cc HPE more than lives up to its name. The High-Performance Engine is packed with technology designed to deliver outstanding performance and low fuel consumption. A single-cylinder with maximum power of 17.5 kW at 8250 rpm (23.8 horsepower) and top torque of 26.0 Nm at 5250 rpm, it is the perfect solution if you like to take things up a gear when you’re running around town.

Feel the connection
The new analogue LCD instrument panel, keyless ignition, long-distance seat opener and Bike Finder function make the Vespa GTS Super a smooth and well-equipped travel companion, but you can forge an even stronger bond if you opt to install Vespa MIA. This handy app connects your smartphone to the scooter’s electronics via Bluetooth to offer you exclusive functions that are sure to make every ride even more fun and stimulating.

Super by name, super in performance

With its refreshed design, the Vespa GTS Super is ready to set off on an adventure with you! Its sporty soul comes with the latest examples of technology incorporated in new and surprising ways. There’s much more to this family than a mere change of colour, with plenty of scope for each and every proud owner to express their own style and individuality.

The new Vespa GTS range, packed with standard equipment, comprises four versions, each of which has its own particular spirit: the classic and very elegant Vespa GTS, the contemporary GTS Super, the gritty GTS SuperSport and the ultra-technological Vespa GTS SuperTech.

All are available with two different, highly-efficient engines, the already popular and much appreciated 125 i-get single-cylinder and the 300 HPE (High Performance Engine), fruit of the latest Piaggio Group technology, which aims to create engines that are increasingly advanced and efficient in terms of limiting emissions and consumption.

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED, INTRODUCING FINALLY THE NEW VESPA GTS

The birth of a new Vespa is always an epic event because it continues an incredibly successful history founded on values of style and technology.

The new Vespa GTS continues the legacy of the legendary “Vespone”, as all the largest body Vespas were christened. Vespas with which to move elegantly around town but that are also ready to travel, or even adventure thanks to their increasingly more generous engines and superior comfort.
The style of Vespa is an icon of modern design and the new GTS family highlights this, thanks in part to a range of no fewer than fourteen different colour schemes available. The elegance is the result of a magical balance between tradition and modernity that comes out in the lines of the GTS, painstakingly refined down to the smallest detail, and a construction quality elevated to unprecedented levels.

The new Vespa GTS range comes packed with standard equipment and includes four versions, each of which has its own particular spirit: the classic and super elegant Vespa GTS, the contemporary GTS Super, the sporty GTS SuperSport, and the ultra technological Vespa GTS SuperTech.
All are available with two super modern powerplants: the technological 125 i-get single-cylinder and the  300 hpe (High Performance Engine), fruit of the latest Piaggio Group technology, which aims to create engines that are increasingly more technologically advanced and efficient in terms of limiting emissions and consumption.

The body of the new GTS family, as has always been the case throughout Vespa history, is made strictly of steel: a sustainable material because it is 100% recyclable which guarantees unrivalled strength as well as truly unique safety and dynamism. This body, which is a Vespa worldwide exclusive, is now paired with an entirely new front suspension. Maintaining the traditional, single-arm layout, the system has been redesigned in terms of functionality to guarantee greater stability, especially at high speeds, and to improve comfort and handling, thanks to the new suspension calibration.

Designed, as always, around the human body, Vespa boasts ideal ergonomics and a natural riding position that helps make it extremely comfortable, enjoyable to ride and accessible to everyone. The new Vespa GTS further highlights the strong touring and even travelling vocation which large Vespas have always embodied, offering a new seat with a superior comfort level even for the passenger and optimised ergonomics for easy footing on the ground at a standstill.

And with Vespa GTS, practicality  and ease of use take another step forward with the introduction of the keyless system to activate the ignition without having to insert the traditional key, streamlining the operations of starting the engine, opening the seat, and locking the steering column, all of which can be done with the remote control conveniently in your pocket.

The SuperTech version confirms the ultra modern TFT colour display, whereas new instrumentation makes its début on all the other versions, unchanged in style and elegance, but more complete and capable of fully exploiting the potential of the VESPA MIA connectivity system, standard equipment on the SuperTech and the SuperSport and available as an optional accessory for the other packages.

2023 Vespa GTS Super 300 Guide Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

Original right down to the last detail
Vespa has always been known for its attention to the finishing touches and the GTS Super is no exception. The new scooters sport a modern look that incorporates technological advancements and finishing touches that may not immediately catch the eye, but make a subtle difference. There’s no better example of this than the classic Vespa “tie” which has been redesigned to create an even more distinctive and original impression.

Vespa-style sportiness
The new Vespa GTS Super continues its efficiency drive, reducing fuel consumption to a minimum without holding back on the power you need for an emotion-packed ride. The 300cc engine reaches 23 horsepower and, with the increased torque available at lower speeds, is quick to respond to the accelerator.

Equipped for the future
All Vespa GTS Super versions come with keyless ignition for a fast, easy start, remote seat opening and the Bike Finder function, perfect for picking out your bike in a crowd. The family is completed by the gritty GTS SuperSport and innovative GTS SuperTech, both of which are kitted out with the Vespa MIA app which connects your smartphone and bike so that you can manage messages, calls and playlists with ease.

Full LED
New full LED lighting lends an even more dynamic look to the front while the rear also sports new illumination which combines with the running lights to make this Vespa more visible and distinctive on the road.

Ergonomically advanced
The ergonomics of the Vespa GTS Super have been fine-tuned, resulting in a more comfortable, easy-to-manage handlebar, while the instrument panel comes with a new 3-inch analogue LCD display or, for the Supertech, practical 4.3-inch full colour TFT display. Both versions feature keyless ignition for a faster, more responsive start.

Comfort and ease
With its new seat, improved shock absorbers and 12-inch wheels with disc brakes, the Vespa GTS Super delivers greater stability and comfort than ever. And, even when the engine is off, there are plenty of features designed to make life simpler, including the remote seat opener, Bike Finder function and keyless ignition for fast easy restarts.

300cc engine
If you love choice and versatility, you’ll love the GTS Super and the 300cc HPE engine for more powerful performance and reduced fuel consumption. Both options are Euro 5-compliant.

Technical features aimed at maximum safety

As is the case for every Vespa from 1946 to now, the body of the Vespa GTS is made strictly of steel, a sustainable material that is 100% recyclable and that guarantees unrivalled strength as well as truly unique safety and dynamism. The result is a particularly brilliant ride both in city traffic as well as on country roads, a blend of thrilling handling and reassuring stability, also thanks to the generously sized tires on 12 inch wheels.

Despite retaining the traditional single-sided swingarm, the front suspension has been updated in terms of its operating framework in order to ensure greater stability, particularly at high speeds. This allows for revised suspension calibration, which also contributes to the comfort and handling.

The double disc braking system sees the adoption of new calipers and new Brembo brake pumps, updates that do not just translate into a significant reduction in braking distances, but also ensure ever-ready deceleration power during sports use and greater modularity, so that even the less expert rider will feel at ease.

The Piaggio Group was the first manufacturer to introduce scooter ASR electronic traction control, once available only on the best motorcycles, to prevent rear wheel spin. The electronic safety control package is rounded out with the ABS anti-lock braking system, controlled with a new, more high-performance Bosch ECU. Both are supplied as standard with the Vespa GTS family.

Always connected with VESPA MIA

The VESPA MIA connectivity system (as standard on Vespa GTS SuperSport and SuperTech) allows you to connect your smartphone to the Vespa GTS on-board electronic system via Bluetooth and enjoy exclusive functions for an even more satisfying and fun riding experience.

VESPA MIA and the new Vespa app are specifically designed for the connection of iOS or Android mobile devices to the latest Vespa models. Once a smartphone is connected to the Vespa GTS – associated with the vehicle via the dedicated Vespa app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play – all notifications regarding incoming calls and messages appear on the display. The system also allows for call management via the practical joystick on the left-hand control block and the use of vocal commands to make calls or listen to music, by activating a playlist. To make the most of all these functions, the Vespa Visor 3.0 helmet is available as an accessory and integrates earphones and a Bluetooth intercom.

On the Vespa GTS SuperTech, the TFT display also serves as a navigation system, accompanying the rider along the route, pre-set in the Vespa app, with directions in the form of pictograms.

In addition to offering infotainment and navigation functions, the app is also an incredible source of useful information regarding vehicle status, riding parameters and travel stats, which can be viewed on a smartphone. VESPA MIA technology serves to optimise Vespa GTS usage in both town and country, enhancing the travel experience.

Versions and colours

Riding a Vespa means expressing a unique personality and appreciating values such as charm, elegance, freshness and freedom. And this is why the four versions making up the new Vespa GTS range take on even more defined characterisation, with four very distinct spirits that can reflect the lifestyle of the rider.

Simple and clean but also sophisticated, the most classic version of Vespa GTS is available in Beige AvvolgenteNero Convinto and Verde Amabile, an explosion of bright metallic shades that represent the most authentic Vespa essence. Every detail is enhanced with elegant chrome.

Among these, the body profiles, the decorations on the typical steering cover, the front suspension spring, the headlight frame and the silencer cover. The grey saddle, with vertical heat sealing on the seat area and tone-on-tone stitching, is paired with hand grips and rubber inserts on the footpegs, also grey. The wheel rims are painted grey.

The GTS Super version embodies typical Vespa GTS values such as style, comfort and safety, as well as boasting a high level of sportiness, following on from legendary sports models such as the 1955 Vespa GS 150, the 1965 Vespa 180 SS and the 1985 T5 “Pole Position”. Immediately recognisable for its graphite coloured rims with diamond finish and double upholstered seat with piping, it is available in three glossy pastel colours, Nero DecisoBianco Innocente, and Rosso Coraggioso. Numerous chrome elements are combined with sporty black details, like the hand grips, rubber inserts on the footpegs, and the front suspension spring.

Vespa GTS SuperSport is the height of Vespa sports attitude, its strong, bold character clear from the graphite coloured rims with dedicated graphics and the many black details, starting with the profile that runs along the perimeter of the body. The typical steering cover on the shield presents a brand-new carbon look finish and is made more aggressive with neon orange decorations. The black saddle stands out for its horizontal heat sealing and double stitching in contrasting neon orange.

Five available colours are enhanced with new dedicated graphics, gloss shades Arancio Impulsivo and Bianco Innocente and the matte Grigio TravolgenteNero Convinto and Verde Ambizioso.

Vespa GTS SuperTech is the top-of-line Vespa GTS model, combining the ultimate sports attitude with cutting-edge technology.  Aesthetically, it stands out for its distinctive satin chrome grey finishes, its graphite coloured wheel rims with diamond finish, and its matte shades with dedicated graphics, Grigio OttimistaBlu Energico and Grigio Entusiasta. Other original contrasting elements include the steering cover decorations and the front shock spring painted in neon green. Even the saddle flaunts a “hi-tech” finish, with double upholstery and two-colour seams with neon green sections.
