2025 Ducati Panigale V2 New: SHEER RIDING PLEASURE.
Introducing the new 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 New…
A clean and simple design, smooth and expansive surfaces. Like every Ducati supersport, the Panigale V2 is as much about racing as it is elegance.
The Ducati Panigale V2 marks an epochal transition in the history of Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder motorcycles because, for the first time, the bikes have been designed from the ground up and don’t simply adopt the engine with a reduced displacement. It is a bike that picks up the tradition of iconic models such as the 748, the 848, and the 959 to maintain the sporty feeling but adds an easy-to-ride character and enjoyment on the road.
Thanks to the new Ducati 90° V2 engine and the monocoque frame (weighing just 8.8 lb), it is the lightest Panigale ever: in fact, it is 33 lb less than the previous V2 S model.
Lightness, intuitiveness, reduced physical and psychological effort, a generous power delivery curve at low revs with a sporty extension at high revs, and a style and technical equipment worthy of a true Ducati are the main characteristics of the new Panigale V2.
Family Feeling
The design of the Panigale V2 is inspired by that of the Panigale V4, defining a sportbike with a determined yet elegant character, combined with the typical taut and clean lines of Ducati grafted onto the neat and sophisticated surfaces of its fairing. Inside the side of the latter, a passive ventilation system channels fresh air towards the rider and moves the hot air from the radiator away, thus improving thermal comfort; essential for thoroughly enjoying the bike when riding on the road.
An apparent reference to the Panigale V4 characterizes the front. It features the full-LED headlight with double DRL, giving it the same assertive and decisive “look.” It is also framed by painted surfaces on the lower part, one of the new stylistic features of the Panigale family. The tank’s design, which also recalls that of the Panigale V4, adopts the new mechanical base and a different ergonomic triangle. The latter has been designed to reduce the load on the wrists while maintaining an excellent feeling on the front when cornering.
The rear has also received a styling treatment inspired by the Panigale V4 and seamlessly merges with the tank, creating a monolithic effect inspired by the 916. The full-LED taillight is divided into two parts, keeping with the Ducati sportbike tradition. The exhaust, which ends with two silencers positioned under the seat, harks back to the Panigale’s racing tradition, underlining the bike’s performance DNA.
The new spoked wheels with a “Y” profile are a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Marchesini three-spoke look. The black color creates a contrasting effect with the full Ducati Red livery.
Sportbike performance on the track and sheer riding pleasure on the road
During development tests on the track, the new Panigale V2 provided performance levels in line with those of the previous model. This is all thanks to the 33 lb weight reduction, a light and modern chassis, new ergonomics, an engine with plenty of torque, and an ease of riding unfamiliar to the previous V2. On the new Panigale V2, the rider feels at ease from the very first corner and, thanks to the reduced physical effort required in riding, can more easily reach the limit and maintain it throughout the session.
On the road, however, the new Panigale V2 proves to be the most manageable and enjoyable Ducati sportbike ever. Thanks to a riding position that is less loaded on the front, the ease of riding, and the thermal comfort, you can fully enjoy the bike.

2025 Ducati Panigale V2 New Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits
New V2 engine
Featuring the classic 90° architecture, the trademark of Ducati twins, the new V2 is equipped with an innovative electronic variable timing system that ensures substantial torque delivery at all engine speeds and real sports performance at the top end. Homologated with displacement of 890 cc, it weighs just 119 lbs, making it the lightest twin-cylinder ever produced in Borgo Panigale.
New 5” full TFT dashboard and “coming home” function
The new dashboard is fully updated, inspired by the design of the Panigale V4. The 5-inch, full TFT display offers a cutting-edge user interface with three info modes – Road, Road Pro and Track – which integrates all the warning lights and provides the perfect balance of information depending on the situation, for a more intuitive and engaging riding experience. The new Panigale also integrates the Coming Home function, which ensures the headlight stays on for a few seconds after the bike is switched off.
Adjustable suspension
The standard version of the Panigale V2 is equipped with a fully adjustable 43 mm Marzocchi fork at the front and a Kayaba shock at the rear. The Panigale V2 S, with 43 mm Öhlins NIX30 fork and an Öhlins shock, offers advanced customization and unparalleled riding feeling.
New wheels
The Panigale V2 is equipped with innovative die-cast aluminum wheels featuring six “Y” spokes arranged in three groups of two. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires, 120/70 at the front and 190/55 at the rear, offer an impressive footprint and exceptional handling on the road. For those seeking maximum performance on track, slick tires with a 190/60 rear, the same size used in the Supersport World Championship, can be mounted.
Brakes
Panigale V2 is equipped with Brembo M50 calipers. More efficient than the M4.32, they ensure a controlled, adjustable response. The colored calipers, available as an accessory, add another personalised touch to the bike, which mounts two Ø 320 mm Brembo front discs. This braking system is designed to offer significant performance on track, without ever being aggressive on the road.
Thermal Comfort
Panigale V2 guarantees greater thermal comfort than the previous version, thanks to passive ventilation ducts designed to optimize the air flow and reduce heat during riding. This innovative solution improves the experience for the rider, ensuring a comfortable temperature even in the most challenging conditions, on both road and track.
First-class electronics
The advanced electronics package on the Panigale V2 guarantees unmatched enjoyment, maximizing performance in total safety and offering complete control in every situation.
Bosch Cornering ABS
The ABS system on the Panigale V2 comes complete with cornering function, for ABS intervention even when the bike is tilted. Cornering ABS can be set according to three levels to meet the needs of all riders, whether on track or road, even in critical conditions of low grip.
While level 3 is suitable for the road or for conditions of low grip, levels 2 and 1 are aimed more at sports riding on high grip surfaces or on track.
Level 2 is recommended for amateur track use. The system manages both the front and rear braking systems and keeps the cornering function activated in the absence of lift control, for more sports-style braking. Level 1 is designed for expert track use, ensuring race-specific intervention with the ABS system acting only on the front wheel.
Ducati Wheelie Control
Panigale V2 is equipped with the latest version of Ducati Wheelie Control. Using information from the six-axis IMU, this system controls wheelies and allows the rider to achieve maximum acceleration simply and safely.
Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
The DTC interfaces with the 6-axis inertial platform to adapt intervention and slip to the bike’s lean angle. The DTC can be set according to 8 different levels (6 for dry conditions, 2 for wet), allowing the rider to adapt the control strategy to suit their riding style and the grip conditions, for maximum performance.
Engine Brake Control (EBC)
EBC (Engine Brake Control) has been revised to help riders optimise stability of the bike in extreme conditions of corner entry, balances the forces that the rear tire is subject to in conditions of intense engine brake application.
Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0
The new Panigale V2 uses the second-generation DQS that debuted on the new Panigale V4. With respect to a traditional quick shift, the gear lever with internal Hall-effect micro-switch is replaced with a direct mechanical lever. This is possible because the shifting strategy is based solely on the gear sensor that supplies information as to the gear and position in degrees of the gear drum. This solution gives the rider a more direct feeling, with reduced travel, that is repeatable and less “gummy”, particularly beneficial when riding on track.
Ducati Power Launch e Ducati Pit Limiter
The new Panigale V2 S is equipped with the Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter. The first is a system that guarantees lightning starts, allowing the rider to focus only on releasing the clutch. The second, which can be activated via the dedicated button, automatically limits bike speed along the pitlane. DPL and Pit Limiter are available as accessories for the Panigale V2.
Riding Mode
The Riding Modes allow the rider to choose between four different, pre-set riding styles (Race, Sport, Road, Wet) so that the behaviour of the V2 bike perfectly suits the rider, type of surface and environmental conditions. The Wet Riding Mode, recommended for low grip surfaces, is associated with Low Power Mode, which limits engine power to 95 hp.
The lightest Panigale of all time
The new Ducati Panigale V2 marks a historic transition in the history of Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder sports bikes, because for the first time it is not derived from the larger motorcycle that competes in Superbike. Designed totally from scratch, it is the lightest ever Panigale. It weighs 37 lb less thanthe previous model, from which it inherits its sports attitude and adds a level of ease, comfort and riding pleasure.
Benchmark performance and equipment
Lightness, intuition and reduced physical effort are combined with a torque curve that is generous at low rpm and delivers sports performance at the top end thanks to the new V2 engine. All enriched with category-topping technical and electronic equipment: this is the new Panigale V2.
The lightest Panigale of all time
With a dry weight of just 388 lbs for the S version, the new Panigale V2 is the lightest Panigale ever produced. Weighing 37 lbs less than the previous generation, this extraordinary lightness translates into a unique riding experience, on both road and track.
The evolution of Ducati DNA
The new Panigale V2 is the first mid-size sports bike in Ducati history to be designed from scratch, rather than deriving from the ‘larger’ models. The design is inspired by that of the new Panigale V4, with lines and concepts transferred across to the new mechanical base, but it all began with a blank page. This approach results in a more horizontal dynamic and less front load, which highlights the compactness of the new V engine.
The lightest twin-cylinder in Ducati history
Weighing in at just 119 lbs, the new V2 engine is the lightest Ducati twin ever produced. Its lightness contributes to the significant weight reduction of the Panigale V2, which boasts a dry weight of 388 lbs. This engine guarantees benchmark performance on track and is also enjoyable and entertaining on the road thanks to its generous torque.
Track-level performance to enjoy on the road
During development tests on track, the new Panigale V2 proved as fast as the previous model, despite that version having been conceived as a race bike with lights, number plate and rear-view mirrors. This, thanks to the 37 lbs weight saving, a lightweight and modern chassis, new ergonomics, the significant engine torque, and an ease of riding unknown to the previous V2. Aboard the new Panigale V2, the rider is comfortable right from the first corner and better able to reach the limit, thanks to the reduced physical effort required to ride it.
New geometries for exceptional feeling
The new geometries of the Panigale V2 ensure unprecedented stability and handling. The riding position is more comfortable, and the thermal comfort of the rider significantly improved. The design of the tank, which better supports the rider during sports riding, recalls that of the new Panigale V4, but is adapted to the new mechanical base and altered ergonomic triangle. Surfaces in contact with the rider are designed to encapsulate support, comfort and versatility, making the new Panigale V2 as efficient on the track as it is enjoyable and comfortable to ride on the road, the physical effort required to ride it always contained.
The power of emotion
Style, racing tradition and sophisticated technology. The new Panigale V2 redefines its sports attitude, while retaining the same values. Every aspect of this bike promises a unique and exciting experience. A bike designed and developed for those who dream of a Ducati twin. Make yourself comfortable. Play.
Exciting weight-power ratio
With a weight of just 388 lbs and power of 120 hp, every acceleration becomes a thrilling and intuitive experience. This ideal balance ensures brilliant performance on track as well as greater comfort during everyday riding.
New V2 engine
The Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2 mount the new 90° V2 engine with variable timing for the intake valves, 890 cc, and 120 hp. Its weight of just 120 lb (-20.7 lb compared to the Superquadro it replaces) makes it the lightest twin-cylinder ever produced by Ducati, and its torque curve, with 70% of the maximum value already available at 3,000 rpm, ensures that riding is always exciting, even on the road. When using the new V2’s on the track, riders can install a racing exhaust, which increases the maximum power to 126 hp, with a weight reduction of 10 lb.
For the Panigale and Streetfighter V2, there are 3 Power Modes available: High, Medium, and Low, at 95 hp. The press kit has all the details on the new engine.
Benchmark chassis
The frame of the new V2 is a light and efficient monocoque, which uses the engine as a stressed element. The double-sided swingarm is inspired in design by the Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm of the Panigale V4 and offers the same benefits in terms of stability when exiting corners and feeling when riding on the track, where it allows the rider to make the most of modern, slick tires.
The suspensions are fully adjustable to allow the rider to personalize the set-up of the new Ducati models. The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shock absorbers, while the V2 S versions offer their rider Öhlins forks and shock absorbers, as well as a lithium-ion battery that reduces weight.
To maintain stability when cornering and at speed without a fairing, the Streetfighter V2 features a swingarm 30 mm longer than the Panigale V2 and a Sachs steering damper as standard.
The new cast wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires in 120/70 and 190/55 sizes, which combine handling and contact patch, enhancing the two models’ sporty qualities. The Brembo front braking system consists of two 320 mm discs and M50 monobloc calipers, offering power for track use and modulation for road use.
Benchmark electronics
The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with a six-axis IMU inertial platform, thus supporting a complete and effective electronics package to increase safety in road use and performance on the track. The electronics package includes sports ABS Cornering with slide-by-brake functionality, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, the same system used on the Panigale V4, standard on both versions. The S versions also have Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter as standard.
The rider can instantly change the bike’s behavior by choosing between four Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Road, Wet) that offer pre-set intervention levels, which can be modified by the user for all the controls and engine response.
The dashboard is a new 5″ TFT with a user interface based on Infomode, conceptually derived from the new Panigale V4. The three views—Road, Road Pro, and Track—allow the rider to concentrate on riding and highlight the most relevant information for each mode.
The rider interface has been streamlined, integrating the information as much as possible to reduce its density and improve readability. The rev counter, for example, also acts as a gear shift indicator, lighting up green at the ideal RPM to shift up and red when over-revving is reached.
Accessories
Various accessories are available for the new Panigale and Streetfighter V2 to increase their performance on the track or make them more versatile for road use. A dedicated track package is also available for the Panigale, consisting of a racing exhaust and lower fairing, Öhlins steering damper, adjustable footpegs with carbon heel guards and lowered handlebars, clutch and generator covers, and caps for mirror and license plate removal. Each accessory can be purchased individually.
The Lap Timer Pro self-timing system, using the Track Infomode, displays lap times, split times, and improvements in the rider’s performance in real time.
