Sunnyvale, Calif., July 11, 2024 – Today, a limited-edition Panigale V2 is launched as a token of gratitude and passion for the Superquadro engine—the most sophisticated twin-cylinder engine ever produced by Ducati which began over thirty years ago.

Engines that have been the technical hallmark of Ducati Superbikes and Supersport, giving birth to iconic bikes such as the 748, 749, 848, 899 and 959, up to the current Panigale V2. This collector’s Panigale, produced in a limited and numbered series of 555 units, is a tribute to the Superquadro engine, whose story comes to fruition with Nicolò Bulega’s conquest of the first Supersport world title.

The first Superquadro engine was created in 2011 for the 1199 Panigale. The name derives from the high ratio between bore and stroke, in which the 1285 cc displacement allowed it to deliver an absolute benchmark of maximum power value for a twin-cylinder. Evolved over the years, it has also seen the birth of smaller displacement versions, first 898 and then 955. The latter helped win the first Supersport world title for Ducati in 2023 with Nicolò Bulega and won the MotoAmerica Supersport title in 2022 and 2023.

The technical design of the Superquadro twin-cylinder has set new standards for refinement and sophistication. The crankcases were made by Vacural® casting, with aluminum pressed-in cylinder liners equipped with NikaSil coating, which allowed the heads to be fixed directly on the crankcases. The head, clutch, and oil pan covers are made of magnesium. All this has helped to develop an extremely compact and rigid engine, a stressed element of an innovative chassis based on an unprecedented monocoque frame.

The desmodromic distribution has seen the adoption of “super-finished” rocker arms coated with DLC treatment to reduce friction and increase resistance to fatigue. The mixed chain/gear control has set new benchmarks in terms of efficiency and reliability.

The Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition features the Superquadro V2, with a displacement of 955 cc. It is as enjoyable on the road as it is effective and responsive on the track, with its 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and torque of 76.7 lb-ft at 9,000 rpm.

Ducati’s tribute to this revolutionary engine takes the form of a collector’s bike with the Panigale V2 Final Edition. The Superquadro Tribute livery, created by Drudi Performance and the Ducati Style Centre, remains faithful to Ducati design themes by using the characteristic colors: white, red, black, and grey.

The shield’s curve on the upper half of the cowl stretches out to align with the bike’s shape, and the number plate underneath follows its outline. The Superquadro engine is displayed on the sides of the fairing, showcasing its exact position. The tank’s dark and cold tone, the matt grey, accentuates the contrast with the colors on the fairing, giving the bike a modern character. The livery is then completed with the saddle embellished with embroidery that adds elegance to its sporty style.

Thanks to the 6-axis inertial platform, the Panigale V2’s electronic equipment guarantees the motorcycle’s safety and full control. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, which helps the rider optimize the stability of his Ducati in extreme corner entry conditions.

The technical features of the Panigale V2, using a monocoque chassis solution, are accompanied by Öhlins suspension and steering damper. The Rizoma rider footpegs are adjustable and made from billet aluminum. The front and rear mudguards, silencer end, chain guard, clutch cover protection, swingarm cover, and shock absorber cover are in carbon fiber. Additional features of the single-seated Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition include a lithium-ion battery and sports grips. The animation of the dashboard at key-on and the contact key is unique to this model.

For those wishing to use the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition on a closed track, a kit for removing the license plate, mirrors, and billet aluminum racing tank cap, can be fitted. This removal kit is included with the purchase of the bike and is equipped with a GPS module for DDA data acquisition. *

Like every collectible Ducati, the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition comes with a certificate of authenticity, a personalized motorcycle cover, and a unique, machined triple clamp featuring the model number.

The Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition will be available in United States dealerships in December 2024.

2025 Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

Superquadro. The Ducati twin.
Elegant and innovative, the Superquadro was born with the first 1199 Panigale, bringing with it technical solutions that set new standards of refinement and sophistication.

Special livery

Created by the Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance, the Superquadro Tribute livery is inspired by quintessential Ducati style codes and uses the classic colours of white, red, black and grey. The technical design of the Superquadro, which features on the side fairings, faithfully traces the position of the engine.

Certified exclusivity

Each example of the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition bears the serial number on the billet steering plate. The motorcycle comes complete with certificate of authenticity and a customised motorcycle cover.

Ready for the track

The technical base of the Panigale V2 sees the addition of quality components that highlight its racing spirit. Sports hand grips for the ideal hold, adjustable Rizoma footpegs to adapt the riding position, a plexiglass racing top fairing and a kit for the removal of the rear-view mirrors, to reduce weight and maximize performance on track.

Exclusive equipment
Unique and unrepeatable: Like the history that it commemorates, the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition is made up of exclusive elements, from the design to the chassis setup.

Superquadro Tribute dedicated livery

Designed by the Ducati Centro Stile in collaboration with Drudi Performance, it is inspired by quintessential Ducati style codes and uses the classic colors of white, red, black and grey. Several exclusive details stand out, like the technical design of the Superquadro, which features on the side fairings.

Billet aluminum steering plate complete with progressive number

The Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition is produced as a limited edition of 555 units. Every motorcycle bears the production number on the billet steering plate and comes complete with certificate of authenticity and a customized motorcycle cover.

Dedicated rider’s seat

Enhanced with the motorcycle’s logo and the Italian tricolor flag, it ensures the ideal comfort and support when riding on road or track, combining style and functionality.

Sports hand grips

Designed to offer the ideal grip and precise control when riding, as well as ensuring a direct connection between rider and bike through every twist and turn.

Rizoma rider footpegs

Adjustable and produced in billet machined aluminum, the footpegs offer total flexibility, adapting to the riding preferences of every rider and ensuring customized comfort and control on both road and track.

Carbon fiber components

The silencer end cap, front and rear mudguards, swingarm protection, chain guard, clutch cover and shock protector are all in carbon fiber. These details accentuate the bike’s sports attitude and offer lightness and resistance to optimize performance on both road and track.

Unmistakable, like a Panigale twin.
The technical base is the Panigale V2 with its pared back design and clear-cut lines, as high-performance and enjoyable on the track as it is on the road.

Monocoque frame
The surfaces of the bike, constructed around the monocoque frame, highlight the forms of the Superquadro twin. With a main fairing that extends upwards to merge into the tank and a secondary fairing that serves as an air vent, this “double layer” fairing revives the clean lines typical of Ducati sports bikes, heightening the elegance and uniqueness.

Steering geometry
The front-end geometry sees a 24° rake angle with 3.90 in of trail, while the single-sided swingarm is made exclusively of cast aluminum. The wheelbase is 56.6 in.

Suspension
The Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition is complete with high-end suspension, including a 43 mm Öhlins USD fork that is fully adjustable and features TiN coated stanchions to heighten resistance and reduce friction. The Öhlins monoshock, also fully adjustable, is mounted on the aluminum single-sided swingarm to ensure a precise response and dynamic riding on road and track.

Wheels and tires
The 5-spoke wheels measure 3.5” at the front and 5.5” at the rear and mount Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires, 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 180/60 x ZR17 at the rear.

The Diablo Rosso IV Corsa is the first Pirelli multi-compound motorcycle tire, which combines track performance with road-going versatility.

Braking system with Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers
The front braking system comprises a pair of Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers activated by a radial master cylinder. Discs measure 320 mm in diameter. At the rear, a Brembo caliper acts on a single 245 mm disc.

As advanced as a Ducati sports bike.
The Panigale twin flaunts a comprehensive electronics package as standard.

Based on the 6-axis inertial platform, it allows the rider to bask in the pleasure of performance safely and with full control.

4.3” TFT display
Panigale V2 instrumentation includes a 4.3” TFT display. The graphics and interface simplify menu navigation and settings adjustment and ensure immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.

Electronic controls
Based on the 6-axis inertial platform, the electronics package leaves no doubt as to the high-end sports DNA of the Panigale V2.

The electronics package heightens the dynamic control and active safety standards of the vehicle thanks to ABS complete with “cornering” function, quickshift up/down, traction control, engine brake and anti-wheelie. All controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) and can be adjusted via the 4.3” color TFT display complete with graphics and interface inspired by those of the Panigale V4, for effortless menu navigation and settings adjustment and more immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.

Lights and indicators
The front light set comprises a headlight that is significantly reduced in size thanks to the introduction of two compact LED high/low-beam modules. The Daytime Running Light and the upper rim of the dual headlight assembly create a “furrow-browed” look, a distinctive trait of modern Ducati sports bikes. At the rear, the full LED taillight is functionally divided in two, as per Ducati sports bike tradition. The double red arch of the position light ensures the Panigale V2 is unmistakable, adding to its assertive attitude. Front and rear LED indicators complete the lighting system.

Electronic riding aid systems
Many of the electronic systems that are now a standard on motorcycles in various segments were pioneered by Ducati, which over the years has earned a place among the industry’s most progressive companies. Safety, comfort and performance improved year by year through the continuous search for innovation and improvement.

Superquadro.
The twin-cylinder soul of Ducati.
Elegant and innovative, the Superquadro was born with the first 1199 Panigale, bringing with it technical solutions that set new standards of refinement and sophistication. Evolved over the years, it also saw the birth of smaller displacement versions, first the 898 and then the 955.

POWER
The very high bore to stroke ratio, which gives the engine its name, allows the Superquadro to achieve benchmark levels of horsepower.

DESIGN
The Superquadro was created as an extremely compact and stiff engine, the stressed element of an innovative chassis based on a brand-new monocoque frame.

TIMING
The Desmodromic system, even more advanced so as to reduce friction and heighten fatigue resistance, sets new standards in terms of efficiency and reliability.
