2026 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

Frame

The lightweight chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame is updated to be slightly stiffer, without compromising its renowned handling characteristics. Detailed feedback from the terrain is transferred to the rider thanks to the precisely calculated torsional rigidity and longitudinal flex. Additionally, the center stand brackets have been relocated on the frame for improved ease of installation.

Subframe

The self-supporting rear subframe, with its integrated 3.4-gallon (13-liter) fuel tank, is perfectly positioned for optimal weight distribution. Manufactured using a thermoplastic rotational molding process, the single-piece construction of the polyamide tank ensures a low weight.

WP forks

The WP XPLOR front forks offer 265 mm of wheel travel and are specifically engineered for dual sport riding. Featuring an open cartridge design with a spring in each leg, compression and rebound settings can be fine-tuned with 30 clicks each using the clearly marked dials located on top of each fork leg.

WP shock

The WP XPLOR rear shock offers adjustable compression and rebound settings for a customized set-up. Connected to a linkage system with offroad geometry, and offering 250 mm of rear wheel travel, the shock ensures comfort and stability across every type of terrain.

Airbox

The airbox features a intake snorkel for improved air flow into the engine. The updated version also reduces the number of parts used to construct the airbox while retaining the same, failproof air filter from the previous generation.

Precisely engineered

Fuel pump

The latest-generation 701 Enduro features a higher-pressure fuel pump, which plays a vital role in fuel atomization and provides a more direct connection between the throttle and rear wheel. The pump also allows for easy replacement of the fuel filters.

Engine

Redesigned crankcases reduce drag, which plays a vital role in enabling the single-cylinder engine to create more torque and peak power than the previous generation. The proven LC4 engine is compliant with the latest emissions standards and retains its linear and controllable power delivery. An added benefit of the latest engine are the service intervals, with oil changes now required only at 15,000 km.

Cylinder head

The compact, Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC), 4-valve cylinder head features 42 mm intake valves and 34 mm exhaust valves. These are actuated by a reliable rocker arm system that delivers precise valve timing at high engine speeds. A dual-spark plug layout, with individually controlled ignition timing, ensures optimal fuel consumption.

Exhaust

The latest-generation 701 Enduro is equipped with an improved exhaust system. Two lambda sensors, together with the catalytic converter – which has been relocated into the header pipe – control the emissions and ensure the machine is emissions compliant. This updated design allows riders to replace the silencer with one from the Technical Accessories range quickly and easily for enhanced performance.

Gearbox

The 6-speed gearbox is equipped with an optional Quickshifter+ that allows all gear changes to be made without using the clutch. The system uses two sensors, one of which is on the shift arm. When it detects movement on the gear lever, power is reduced for a fraction of a second. The second sensor is for gear selection, and once the next gear is engaged, full power returns. The Quickshifter+ delivers smoother acceleration, improved traction, and works even under heavy load.

Ride-by-wire throttle

The Keihin electronic fuel injection system features a 50 mm throttle body with no mechanical linkage to the throttle grip. As the rider twists the throttle open or closed, the throttle valve is electronically controlled by the Engine Management System (EMS), which continuously compares engine parameters with sensor data and adjusts accordingly. The end result is a smooth and responsive power delivery.

Brakes

The latest ABS technology from Bosch offers two settings – road or offroad. In combination with a two-piston, floating Brembo caliper and 300 mm disc on the front, and a single-piston Brembo caliper and 240 mm disc on the rear, confidence-inspiring braking performance is assured. Advanced riders can disengage ABS completely if they prefer using the dedicated button on the handlebars.

Dynamic Slip Adjust

Riders can easily activate Dynamic Slip Adjust using the button on the TFT dashboard available only in optional RALLY mode. Dynamic Slip Adjust is designed solely to increase rear wheel slip by lowering the level of Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) when additional spin is needed. For example, if a rider is using a high MTC setting and hits a muddy patch or steep climb, the system temporarily allows more wheel spin without cutting engine power. Once traction is regained, torque and slip levels automatically return to the original MTC setting.

Bodywork

Updated graphics are applied to the smoother, and sleeker bodywork, which has been ergonomically designed to connect the rider to the motorcycle and ensure unrestricted movement. The riding experience is further enhanced by the extended seat, which reaches over the radiator shrouds for improved grip and control through tighter corners. At the front, the headlight unit houses LED bulbs to illuminate the way in all low-light situations.

Electronic rider aids

Using the handlebar-mounted switch cube, riders can take advantage of multiple electronic rider aids to maximize their riding experience. A choice of three ride modes – Street, Offroad, and optional Rally – can be easily selected based on rider preference or conditions. Rally Mode allows adjustment of traction control, throttle response, Dynamic Slip Adjust, and Motor Slip Regulation. These features highlight the modern specification of the 701 Enduro while delivering a truly personalized riding experience.

Connectivity

When paired with the Ride Husqvarna app, the rider’s smartphone enables enhanced connectivity. Calls can be made or answered, music can be played, and Turn-by-Turn+ navigation ensures no missed turns.

TFT dashboard

A large and clear 4.2″ TFT dashboard features a bonded anti-glare screen and integrates neatly in front of the aluminum handlebars. Providing essential information at a glance, the dashboard is a welcome addition on the latest generation 701 Enduro. For keeping devices charged while riding, a USB-C port is easily accessible beneath the dashboard.

New and improved 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto from Husqvarna Mobility

Embrace every moment

Husqvarna Mobility is excited to announce the 2026 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto models – innovative machines that have been meticulously upgraded with stronger engines, new bodywork, and advanced technology. Setting the benchmark for large-displacement, single-cylinder motorcycles, the latest 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto both promise to deliver an unparalleled riding experience.

The two machines, each uniquely characterised by Husqvarna’s Swedish DNA, are equipped with a new 4.2” TFT dashboard, which offers enhanced connectivity and a modern interface. An RPM display and gear selection indicator are clearly visible at a glance, while the overall layout stays slim and minimal in its design. From the handlebars, riders can quickly personalise their motorcycle by engaging their choice of ride modes and by activating or deactivating Traction Control or ABS. These options allow for a truly customised set-up on both the 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto.

Dynamic Slip Adjust is a brand-new feature on the 701 Enduro. Available exclusively in optional Rally Mode, it automatically adjusts the permitted rear wheel slip based on the available traction in any given situation. Importantly, Dynamic Slip Adjust is designed solely to increase rear wheel slip by lowering the level of Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) when additional spin is needed – it does not reduce slip.

For example, if a rider is using a high MTC setting and hits a muddy patch or steep climb, the system temporarily allows more wheel spin without cutting engine power. Once traction is regained, torque and slip levels automatically return to the original MTC setting.

Supermoto+ ABS, fitted to the 701 Supermoto, builds on the popular Supermoto ABS Modes from previous generations. This new feature allows riders to deliberately slide the rear wheel through a limited angle when entering corners. During this manoeuvre, ABS remains active on the front wheel for continued stability.

Sport ABS enables the rider to brake more aggressively before the ABS system intervenes, with control maintained on both the front and rear wheels. Compared to Road ABS, Sport ABS permits higher brake pressure at greater lean angles, offering improved control and allowing experienced riders to brake harder before ABS engagement.

Each model now features a redesigned LC4 engine that is Euro 5+ compliant and delivers increased power from 74 PS to 79 PS, along with improved efficiency. This renowned single-cylinder engine produces perfectly linear and controllable power, ensuring exceptional performance together with outstanding chassis agility and handling. Additionally, the updated WP suspension and new electronics, including advanced ride modes and ABS options, further enhance the riding experience.

On the open road, the 701 Enduro is a highly proficient machine with an understated, Swedish-inspired white and blue livery. With the ability to disengage the ABS, riders can take full control of braking on loose terrain. For the 701 Supermoto, a commanding presence throughout every ride is delivered by its distinctive white and yellow colour scheme, while the four-piston Brembo front brake calliper and 320 mm brake disc ensure superior stopping power.

New bodywork is a fundamental technical upgrade on both models, modernising the iconic, classic design of the motorcycles while enhancing the overall riding experience. The latest machines feature restyled graphics for a fresh look, ensuring each one stands out from the crowd.
