– Moto Guzzi Breva 750 – A new wind

Visit the official Moto Guzzi Breva 750 webpage

A name which should bring good luck as the Breva is a wind which blows over Lake Como – where Moto Guzzi is based – coming from the south and bringing fine weather.
A way of emphasising, also with the name, the “breath of fresh air” in Guzzi, picking up all the inheritance of the past and giving it new form and new technology. The Breva is the first sign of a new way of living, closer to the habits and needs of a vast public.

The simple essential lines trace out a form which seems ready to leap out onto the roads, communicating the concept inspiring the design even from the outside.
The BREVA is a new entry level from Moto Guzzi, a bike which breathes new life into the 750 cc segment – the important first approach to a motorcycle suitable for everyone – always pleasant and safe to ride.

With its attractive look, the Moto Guzzi BREVA is even more gratifying and pleasant to ride as it has been designed to give even those who have never before climbed onto a saddle the possibility of having fun straight away. The riding position is natural and the anatomic shape of the tank enables even the tallest of iders to keep their knees tight in, forming a single block with the bike.

Travelling in comfort, even in company. Particular attention has been dedicated to the mechanics, designed for touring use, in line with the Moto Guzzi tradition.
Particularly easy to handle thanks to the light weight and small size, it is also comfortable when riding two up, thanks to the configuration and generous padding of the saddle.

The manoeuvrability is backed by the engine, a 90° V twin, reworked and corrected in line with the latest developments in technology and fitted with electronic injection.
The high engine torque, present right from low revs, guarantees a relaxing ride even for less expert motorcyclists. Output is “full” and linear and acceleration surprising, for immediate take off from stationary and problem free overtaking to offer even more safety.
More sporty riders won’t fail to appreciate the position of the exhaust – short and sloping upwards – for unequalled handling, even on routes calling for the bike to be got down repeatedly.

– Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 – Breva Plus

Following up on the 750cc version of this machine introduced last year, Moto Guzzi has introduced at Milan the Breva V 1100. An essential motorcycle, with simple, attractive styling, the Breva V 1100 is for all-around use, including about town and even touring.

Although you may be familiar with Moto Guzzi’s air-cooled, 90 degree v-twin, in the new Breva this old work horse of an engine receives a new alternator, new oil sump, new con rods, new, lighter pistons, dual spark plugs per cylinder, new fuel injection system and the latest six-speed transmission designed by new Moto Guzzi owner Aprilia.

Perhaps, most interesting about the Breva V 1100 is the “reactive shaft drive” patented by Moto Guzzi, which is a design that incorporates the shaft drive in the aluminum alloy swingarm. According to Moto Guzzi, “the distinctive characteristics of this original and extremely compact system is elimination of the anti-shaft effect normally caused by shaft drive.” Again, according to Moto Guzzi, this results in “a consistently fluid ride without the ‘jerks’ during acceleration and throttle release typical of shaft drive . . ..”

The Breva V 1100 has 45mm forks, huge, 320mm dual disc brakes up front (squeezed by Brembo, four piston calipers), a single 282mm disc brake in the back, and very thorough instrumentation, some of which can be controlled without removing your hands from the handgrips.

Touring accessories, including factory saddlebags will be available from Moto Guzzi. Price and availability date are unknown at this time. – motorcycle daily

– MGS-01 Corsa – Too beautiful not to be true.

Visit the official Moto Guzzi MSG-01 Corsa webpage

The MGS-01 Corsa has more than just breathtaking lines. It is driven by a powerful air-cooled 1,256 cc four-stroke with four valves in Nymonic, with high compression three-segment Cosworth pistons, ceramic-coated cylinders and bushings replaced with bearings.

The power of the engine, which “pumps” right from the lowest revs, is backed by top standard mechanics. Precise entry into bends and road holding are guaranteed by the Öhlins upside-down fork. At the rear, there is an extra long swinging fork swingarm (505 mm) in box section aluminium, improving the traction of the rear wheel and transmitting all the horsepower of the MGS-01 Corsa to the ground. The rear single shock absorber is in a vertical position, just behind the engine, to leave room for the 15 litres airbox.

Handling is guaranteed by the weight, kept down to just 192 kg, the wheelbase measuring just 1,428 mm, obtained by integrating the gearbox in the timing case, and the ideal weight distribution with a difference of just 200 g between front and back. The Brembo disc brakes with radial mounted callipers are ultra-powerful. Those who have had an opportunity to ride the MGS-01 Corsa confirm that this time appearances are not deceptive
