Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Colton Haaker Finishes Third At Everett Endurocross

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Colton Haaker went to battle at the Everett EnduroCross, the fourth round of the 2017 EnduroCross Series, on Saturday in Everett, Wash. Haaker had his work cut out for him all night, but he never gave up and finished a solid third.

Haaker got into the lead early in the Super EX Gate Pick and was looking strong. He moved to second the following lap, but stayed right with the leader and continued to charge. He regained the lead after Cody Webb went down in the rock river section and held on to take the win and transfer to the bracket race.

He pulled the holeshot in his first bracket race and took an easy win. He won again the second bracket race, then got the holeshot in the third bracket race before moving to second after the first corner and stayed in that position until the finish.

He got a good start in the main before violently hitting the tire in the first corner, which forced him to make a comeback from the back of the pack. He put on a charge and made his way up to third in the enchanted forest in the sixth lap. Still needing to take the no-joke lane, he picked up the pace and battled with the second-place rider in laps 10 and 11 before making the pass for second in the enchanted forest in lap 12. He was riding strong, but got passed while taking the no-joke lane in the final lap and would finish third. He is currently second in championship point standings.

Haaker: “Tonight wasn’t my night, but I am putting this race behind me to focus on what’s ahead.”
