Second Consecutive Victory for Marvin Musquin at Washougal National!

WASHOUGAL, Wash. – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Marvin Musquin dominated the ninth round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, held at the Washougal National in Washougal, Wash. on Saturday, by earning his second consecutive 1-1 victory aboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION.

Musquin pulled the holeshot in the first 450 moto and started leading the pack. He held off an attack by Eli Tomac in the fourth lap and started pulling away before eventually taking the first 450 moto win of the day. He was fourth at the start of the second moto and moved to second before the end of the second lap before making an impressive pass for the lead in the fourth lap before pulling away. He kept his head down and rode his own race to earn his fourth consecutive moto win, and went 1-1 for his second consecutive overall victory. He is currently third overall in 450 rider point standings.

Musquin: “Coming from Millville and finishing 1-1 there, I was really looking forward to another good weekend in Washougal. It’s a track I really like. My practices were good and I qualified 2nd. I was able to grab the holeshot in the first moto, but Tomac was catching up quick. We had a good battle, but I was able to pull away and finish with a good gap. My start wasn’t as good in the second moto, but I still made my way up to the lead on the fourth lap. Once again, Tomac was right behind me but I pushed to increase the gap again. I felt really good today and was really comfortable on the bike. It was a fun day, and I’m happy to get another overall win.”
