Strang & Walker with Top Ten Finishes at Watkins Glen GNCC

The Liqui Moly Beta team delivered a strong double top-10 overall finish at an unpredictable inaugural Watkins Glen GNCC. In the XC2 250 Pro class, Jhak Walker showcased the aggressive, raw power of his 2-stroke Beta machine, battling hard for the top spot early in the race before crossing the line with an impressive third-place class finish and ninth overall. Just behind him, veteran Josh Strang put delivered a solid ride on his Beta Factory 480 RR in the XC1 Pro class. Navigating the track conditions, deep ruts, and heavy lapped traffic that defined Round 8, Strang ground his way to a solid seventh in his class and tenth overall, in punishing East Coast woods terrain.

“This inaugural Watkins Glen race was definitely a challenge—the terrain was punishing and the lapped traffic made it a real test of patience. Seventh in the XC1 class isn’t where we want to be ultimately, but in conditions this rough, it’s about grinding it out and securing the points. We’ll take the positives from the performance, get back to work on the setup, and keep pushing for the rest of the season.”

“Watkins Glen was a wild one for its debut on the calendar. You really had to be on your toes every single lap. I’m happy to put our Beta machine on the box with a third-place finish in XC2. It was a tough, physical day in the woods, but it’s a solid result for the team, and we’re going to take this momentum into the next round.”
