An old-school BSA chopper celebrating friendship and life on the road takes the IMC Best in Show title, while Varese-based workshop Mannaia triumphs in the AMD Championship and receives the prestigious “Foggy’s Best” award presented by four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty. The 40th anniversary of Europe’s longest-running Custom Bike Show attracted an outstanding number of high-quality builders, many traveling from Central and Eastern Europe. The coveted Golden Rod Awards were also presented
Biker Fest International is built on long-standing traditions, and its 40th Anniversary edition was no exception, with Sunday’s highlight once again being the prestigious Custom Bike Show awards ceremony. As Europe’s longest-running custom motorcycle contest and the only Italian round of the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, the event once again transformed the Main Stage in Viale Europa into a showcase of creativity and craftsmanship, bringing together builders, workshops, and customizers from across Italy and abroad.
This year’s edition stood out for the remarkable presence of builders from Central and Eastern Europe – including Austria, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and even Belarus – further cementing Biker Fest’s status as one of the continent’s leading custom motorcycle events. The Best in Show award of the Italian Motorcycle Championship (IMC) went to Paruk, a BSA 650 chopper built by Friulian customizer Renato Peres as a deeply personal tribute to a late friend. A true old-school custom, Paruk impressed the judges with its authenticity, character, and outstanding craftsmanship, confirming the ever-rising standards of the Italian custom scene.
The international AMD World Championship selection showcased three radically different interpretations of contemporary custom culture. The visionary Lulù, powered by an S&S V-twin and built by the Varese-based workshop Mannaia, once again demonstrated the talent of one of Italy’s most exciting young builders. It also captivated Carl Fogarty, special guest of BFI 2026 and four-time World Superbike Champion, who personally selected it as the recipient of his exclusive “Foggy’s Best” award. Also featured in the AMD selection was La Primera, the Harley-Davidson Road Glide built by Bad Boys Garage, bringing the unmistakable spirit of Chicano style to the stage through a modern performance bagger interpretation. Equally impressive was the award-winning Harley-Davidson Model B Nike, created by the duo Gallery Motorcycles/Damiano Roncaglioni, which amazed the judges with its sophisticated postmodern reinterpretation of 1920s Harley-Davidson racing machines.
The individual class winners offered an extraordinarily diverse snapshot of today’s European custom scene. In the Clubstyle category, victory went to the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST built by Austria’s 2 Wheels Terror Crew. Samuele Gorni claimed the Freestyle title with his Yamaha XT600 Annina, while Custom Thom took top honors in Modified H-D with one of his signature creations, a muscular Harley-Davidson Night Rod.
Further victories went to RCK Roll-Chop and its Harley-Davidson Shovelhead in Old Style, BSS Custom & Repair with its IZH Planeta in the Metric category, and Low Special Parts from Naples, whose Buell S1 claimed the Streetfighter crown. In the Scrambler and Cafe Racer categories, two Harley-Davidsons came out on top: the Knucklehead 29 by Czech builder Zbinek Threcek and the XL1000 Ironhead by Austrian customizer Wolfgang Mayer. The extensive prize pool was provided by sponsors including Zodiac International, Avon Tyres, Blauer, BS Macchine, Dynojet, FG Racing, Gubellini, H-D Bergamo, Motodesign Custom, Rizoma, Salon du 2 Roues de Lyon, San Marco Petroli, Shoei, and Simpson Motorcycle Helmets.
Alongside the Custom Bike Show, the second edition of the Performance Bagger Show brought together some of the finest sporting interpretations of modern touring baggers, reflecting one of today’s fastest-growing trends thanks to dedicated racing series such as the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup—held alongside MotoGP weekends—and the Bagger Racing League Europe, now in its second season and official partner of the competition. The overall winner was the Harley-Davidson Road Glide prepared by 4Touring and Ironborne for A. Pagnanini of Novara.
Finally, the prestigious Golden Rod Awards were presented by leading personalities, magazines, influencers, and representatives of major custom events who traveled to Lignano from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden to honor some of the show’s most remarkable motorcycles. Among them, media partner Bikers Life recognized Belarusian builders Savitski Custom Workshop and Garage 242, who had traveled all the way from Minsk with their custom Harley-Davidsons. Additional awards were presented by Sturgis Buffalo Chip (USA), Madness Photography (Netherlands), Norrtälje Twin Club MC (Sweden), the magazines Big Twin (Netherlands), Custombike (Germany), Dream Machine (Germany) and Kustom World (Italy), as well as influencers Ila Neutro and Noisy Style.
