Nicolò Bulega has gone down in the history books of the Superbike World Championship. At the Balaton Park circuit (Hungary), the Italian rider dominated Race 1 of the Hungarian Round, securing his fourteenth consecutive victory (4 in 2025, 10 in 2026) and setting a new record.
Iker Lecuona staged an exciting comeback. Starting from eighth position due to a penalty for ‘impeding’ imposed by Race Direction (P5 in qualifying), the Spaniard’s first six laps were perfect, allowing him to hold onto second place on the podium until the chequered flag.

“It’s a great result. Achieving such an important record fills me with pride. I want to thank the team for the quality of the work they do every day, putting me in a position to have an extraordinary feeling with my Panigale V4 R. We haven’t yet achieved this season’s goal, though. We need to be competitive tomorrow as well.”

“I’m a bit disappointed, especially with the grid penalty I received, which I don’t think was fair. I did enjoy riding my bike, though; the feeling was really good, and that gives me great confidence for tomorrow.”
