2012 Triumph Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition

Since 1902, Triumph has prided itself on building some of the finest motorcycles in the world. For 110 years, Triumphs have been associated with high performance and timeless appeal. As a way to honor that tradition, Triumph is proud to announce the 2012 Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Edition.

The 110th Anniversary Edition is a fitting tribute to the iconic Triumph brand and the bikes that have made it great for over a century. Based on the standard T100 model, itself a modern reinterpretation of the classic Bonnevilles from the 1960s, the 110th Anniversary Edition features an Aluminum Silver and Khaki Green paint scheme similar to those featured on the earliest Triumph motorcycles. Other special features include a reinterpretation of the original Triumph crest on the bike’s side covers, as well as a chrome chain guard, cam cover and grab rail.

Mechanically, the 110th Anniversary Edition features the same, torquey 865cc parallel twin from the standard Bonneville T100. With dual overhead cams, modern fuel injection and 67bhp on tap, this stirring engine offers real-world performance, clean running and a uniquely British soundtrack. Suspension is also identical to the T100, with 41mm front forks and traditional chromed rear shocks delivering poised handling and a comfortable ride.

Each limited-edition 110th Anniversary Bonneville T100 includes a numbered plaque on the handlebar clamp and a certificate of authenticity. Only 1,000 models will be built worldwide, with 250 allotted for the U.S. and 25 for Canada. Price for the 110th Anniversary Edition is set at $10,499 U.S ($10,999 Canada), with availability beginning in May.

T100. Classic Sixties styling.

The most famous name in motorcycling is as famous today as it was 50 years ago.

Bang up to date engineering. Retro meets modern. Double-barrelled, fuel-injected responsiveness from the 865cc parallel twin. Smooth pulling, double-barrelled fun. A mellow backbeat from the twin peashooter exhausts. Chrome engine covers. Black instrument surround with tacho. Triumph logo on the seat. Two-tone paint. Spoked wheels. Fork gaiters. You got the look. Motorcycling the way it’s meant to be. Ride it with a smile.

Classic Sixties style wouldn’t be complete without spoked wheels or peashooter exhausts that hark back to the very first Bonnevilles of 1959.

Modern disc brakes, suspension and steel cradle frame blend seamlessly into the package and ensure that the T100 is tough enough for today’s road conditions. Traditional two-tone colour schemes with hand finished coachlines, or timeless Jet Black alternatives on the black edition, fit the character of the T100 and complete the period look.

TRIUMPH Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition

– Classic Triumph parallel-twin roadster
– Traditional spoked wheels and period paint schemes
– Modern engineering and technology for clean, reliable running
– Standard two year unlimited mileage warranty

Triumph’s Bonneville ruled the roads during the 1960s and no current motorcycle replicates so closely the style and experience of those golden years than the modern day Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition.

With its traditional wire wheels and traditionally coachlined two-tone paintwork, the Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition looks like it could have been built in 1969. But look closer and you will see a modern machine dripping with authentic touches only Triumph can deliver.

Outwardly that 865cc parallel-twin may resemble the classic 650cc pushrod motors of ‘the day’, but the Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition’s double overhead camshaft engine is bang up to date with modern fuel injection for clean running and modern levels of performance and reliability.

Neat retro touches like the ‘carburettors’ that hide the fuel injectors, dummy pushrod tubes and positioning of the ignition key pay respect to Bonneville legend, but while bypassers will admire the Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition, it’s the riding experience that really delivers.

Turn the key, down at the left hand side of the headlight just like the first Bonnevilles, and enjoy the mellow soundtrack of that traditional British paralleltwin.

Twist the throttle and that 68PS engine delivers real world performance, with the 41mm front forks and traditional chromed rear shocks providing poised handling and a comfortable ride.

While the standard Bonneville and Bonneville SE already deliver an authentic roadster experience, the T100 takes things a stage further with real 1960s’ detailing. Peashooter silencers, classic two-tone colour options and spoked steel wheels (with a larger 19” front) give the T100 more presence and the sort of kudos only a ‘Brit twin’ can deliver.

The two-tone colour options complement the traditional Bonneville styling and have the added touch of gold or silver coachlines, painted by hand just as they always have been. Three regular options are available: Cranberry Red with New England White or Graphite and metallic Phantom Black are the two-tone options, while the popular single colour Jet Black option is also available and comes with matching black-finished engine cases.

Completing the T100’s 1960s look are rubber fork gaiters, knee pads and classically styled handlebar mounted speedometer and rev counter, which includes a clock and trip information.

2012 Triumph Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited Edition Features and Benefits

The Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited edition has a nostalgic appeal and classic look, and only 1,000 have been manufactured. The traditional styling has been achieved with the use of an historic colour scheme and traditional accessories – for example the black painted chain guard will be substituted for a chromed part.

110th Triumph Anniversary Crest

The bike sports an anniversary crest inspired by the early Triumph tank badges. The crest features a Queen’s crown, three dots to represent the three historic locations of Coventry, Meriden and Hinckley, plus the classic Triumph triangle within the crown.

110th Triumph Anniversary Paint Scheme

Unique paintwork with a colour split and a smattering of chrome accessories increase the special edition appeal and not a standard model.

It’s classic Brooklands Green colour naming also commemorates Triumph’s first ever motorcycle race win at the famous Brooklands race track (the worlds first purpose built motor racing circuit) in 1908.

First established in 1902 and now based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, Triumph Motorcycles is currently the fastest growing motorcycle brand in the world. For over a decade Triumph has produced iconic bikes which perfectly blend design, character, charisma and performance. Producing around 50,000 bikes per year, Triumph is the largest British automotive manufacturer in the country.

At the heart of Triumph’s philosophy is a commitment to developing truly unique motorcycles that offer a blend of distinctive design, intuitive handling and performance. The innovation and engineering passion that gave birth to the iconic Bonneville of the 60’s has today created a broad range of bikes suited to all motorcycle riders, including the striking 2.3 litre Rocket III, the unmistakable Speed Triple and the powerful Daytona 675.

In recent years it is the Daytona 675 that has enabled Triumph to truly stamp its mark on the modern motorcycle landscape, a proven class leader in the field. After winning the Supertest ‘King of the Supersport’ crown for three successive years the Daytona’s status has been further enhanced with the MAP Embassy Triumph team’s victory in the 2008 British Supersport Championship.

With an impressive 2010 product portfolio in place Triumph is set to continue to enhance its stratus in the marketplace.

Triumph currently employs around twelve hundred personnel worldwide and has offices in the UK, America, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden and Benelux, plus a network of independent distributors. Triumph has manufacturing facilities in Hinckley, Leicestershire and Thailand.
