ENGINE
Performance

The heart of the Speed 94 is, as it was 21 years ago, an exceptionally torque rich inline three cylinder engine. Benefitting today from cutting edge advances in materials and design technology, the Speed 94 1050cc triple produces an astonishing 135PS and 111Nm of torque with a wide spread of power specifically tuned to deliver explosive low down thrust in any gear.

Configuration

The liquidcooling, double overhead cams of the Speed Triple operate 12 valves and rev out beyond 10,000rpm. And, we’ve finely tuned the three into two exhaust like a musical instrument to enhance the engine’s torque and make it snarl even more angrily as the revs build.

Engine

Power and Performance

At the heart of the Triumph Speed 94beats our world-famous 1050cc three-cylinder engine. With a potent 135PS on tap and a broad spread of torque peaking at 111Nm, the legendary motor pumps out a precisely metered torrent of performance exactly when and where you want it, every second of every ride.

Configuration

The Speed 94’s motor delivers real-world usability no other layout can match: acres of sumptuous low down torque, deliciously smooth midrange drive and stacks of hard-charging peak performance from a compact, trustworthy and highly controllable power unit.

Exhaust

To hear it is to love it. A pair of signature high-level exhaust cans produce a throaty roar to tell the world you’re coming, but doesn’t shout about it. Meanwhile the motorcycle’s three-cylinder engine naturally has evenly spaced exhaust pulses that maximise combustion and enhance power delivery.

Chassis

Agility and stability are key handling characteristics at the core of every Triumph motorcycle. The Speed 94 uses select chassis components, settings and dimensions, carefully chosen and refined for the road by Triumph’s hugely experienced engineering and test-riding team.

The result is a supple, fluid handling dynamic for a refined and classy street ride, balanced by a bold, aggressive attitude that lets you make your way at your own pace when the mood takes you.

Handling and Riding Position

Whether you’re forging a path through urban sprawl or sweeping at speed across the countryside, you need a riding position that puts you in total control. The Triumph Speed 94’s fat, alloy bars, sculpted seat and aggressive, forward-leaning stance deliver stunning feedback and sublime steering response for the ultimate in confidence and control without sacrificing stability.

Chassis

Brakes, Wheels and Tyres

Stopping the Triumph Speed 94 swiftly and safely from all speeds under any circumstances are radially mounted, ABS-assisted Brembo four-piston calipers gripping 320mm discs, working in conjunction with a pair of lightweight aluminium wheels and the latest 120/70 and 190/55 radial rubber.

Speed Suspension

For superior ride quality and a high level of cornering control for every road riding situation, the Speed 94’s 43mm upside-down Showa forks and rear Showa monoshock are fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping. The rear also has adjustable preload for use with a pillion.

Speed R Suspension

For high performance road and track-based riding conditions, the Triumph Speed 94 R comes equipped with 43mm Öhlins NIX30 upside down forks and an Öhlins TTX36 twin tube rear monoshock, fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping, as well as race-style Brembo Monobloc radial calipers for extreme braking performance.

Technology

ABS

The Speed 94’s potent Brembo braking set-up is supported by Triumph’s sophisticated switchable anti-lock brake system. The ABS modulator makes over 100 calculations per second working behind the scenes, and is unnoticeable in normal riding – but it’s there when you need it.

Instruments

The Speed 94’s clocks keep it classy on the outside, but boast a fully-featured LCD multi-functional trip computer with digital speedo, analogue tachometer, fuel gauge, twin trip mileage, lap timer, programmable gear change lights, service interval announcement display and switchable ABS.

Immobiliser

When it isn’t lighting up the roads, the Speed 94 is protected at standstill by a coded key motorcycle immobiliser system which disables the ignition if it detects an attempt to turn or force the ignition switch without the presence of the electronically coded correct key.

Style

Muscular lines ooze dedication to quality and craftsmanship from every angle. A streetfighter’s brawny stance is mixed with the simple cool of a naked bike. Trademark twin-headlights glare menacingly. A brute-force single-sided swingarm and sawn-off tail unit with twin underseat pipes highlight a massive 190-section rear tyre. The Speed 94 message is clear: shy, retiring wallflowers need not apply. The Speed 94 and 94 R decals and styling cues echo the look of the original, legendary 1994 Street Triple motorcycle.
