Inspired by the legendary 1959 Bonneville and styled to incorporate the original’s iconic features, the Bonneville T120 reaches a whole new level of detailing, quality and finish — including deep chrome multi-piece Triumph tank badges, grab rail and innovative twin-skinned chrome exhaust headers and peashooter style silencers. Powered by an all new ‘high-torque’ engine and fed by beautiful authentic twin throttle bodies, the 1200cc power plant is specifically built for this modern classic.

THE ORIGINAL BRITISH SUPERBIKE

Named to celebrate the 1956 motorcycle land speed record smashing Triumph streamliner and built to deliver class leading performance, adding twin carbs to the snarling Tiger 110, the 59 Bonneville was born. A race winner straight out of the crate, Bonneville was there at the birth of modern motorsport, winning AMA Flat Track races, the Isle of Man TT, the International Six Day Trials and countless Thruxton 500 races, where it got its legendary racing name. Lusted after by a generation of 60’s teenage rockers it was first choice for famous bikers including the iconic movie star Steve McQueen.

 

BONNEVILLE ENGINE FAMILY

A new generation Bonneville engine family built specifically for the modern classic riding style, with more torque, more immediate and exciting power delivery and a richer sound you can really feel and hear. With three new engines – the 900cc high torque engine of the new Street Twin and Street Cup and Bonneville T100 and T100 Black – delivering 18% more peak torque than the previous generation, the 1200cc high torque engine of the Bonneville T120 and T120 Black with over 54% more torque, and the game changing 1200cc high power ‘Thruxton spec’ engine which punches out over 62% more than torque the previous Thruxton 900.

All with truly modern capability, including ride-by-wire, for sharper responsiveness and liquid cooling for amazing fuel economy, 36% improvement on the Bonneville T100 alone.

Combining the modern performance of the Bonneville 1200cc high torque engine with authentic styling, crafted to follow the silhouette and cues of the original Bonneville, the T120 is a timeless icon beautifully evolved.

A genuine style icon, with real pedigree, presence and performance. Building on the timeless looks of the Bonneville T120 the mean and moody T120 Black is transformed with a distinctive dark brown seat and blacked out details, including rims, grab rail, exhaust and a sophisticated paint finish in Matt Graphite or Jet Black.

 

SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCED FUEL ECONOMY

Behind the 1200 Bonneville engine’s exterior is an advanced liquid cooling system sensitively designed to minimise its visual impact whilst achieving cleaner emissions and enhancing fuel efficiency – 13% better than the previous generation. This, combined with an extended service interval of 10,000 miles (16,000km) dramatically reduces the overall cost of ownership.

 

THRILLING ENGINE

The authentic character of the Bonneville T120 comes to life through the 1200cc ‘high torque’ 8 valve, parallel twin engine.

Built specifically for the modern classic riding style, with immediate and exciting power delivery, it produces a massive peak torque fiqure of 105Nm at a low 3100 rpm – an amazing 54% more than the previous generation. With a power output of 80PS at 6,550rpm, 18% up on the previous engine, the next generation 1200cc delivers much more power lower down and across the whole rev range, with 50% more power at 4,500rpm. With the pin-point accuracy and instant throttle response of Triumph’s next generation ride-by-wire fuel-injection and engine management system, the six-speed Bonneville T120 is engineered with a charismatic tone and 270° firing interval for a smooth, linear power delivery.

 

BEAUTIFUL STYLE AND SOUND

The Bonneville 1200cc engine profile has been beautifully styled with a high level of detailing and finish to incorporate key heritage styling cues from the legendary 60’s Bonneville engine silhouette whilst incorporating contemporary components sensitively to maintain that iconic and authentic look.

With elegant pea-shooter style exhausts following a clean straight line header pipe run, the Bonneville T120 delivers the true sound of a British twin, a deep and rich note that truely matches its character, tuned to a level you would want and expect.

Engine Immobiliser

A security device that integrates a transponder into the T120 key, linked to a receiver in the ignition system, that prevents the engine from running if the correct key isn’t used.

 

USB Charging Socket

An under-seat USB socket is provided so you can charge up your essential devices.

 

ABS

The contemporary safety standard, Triumph’s anti-lock braking system sets the standard for control to the Bonneville T120 and T120 Black.

 

Ride-by-wire

Fingertip Controls

The T120 switchgear presents a simple fingertip control scroll button for easy access to the key features on the beautiful digital clocks.

 

Twin Feature Clock

Stylish feature-packed twin clocks (speedo and rev counter) with beautiful 3D dial faces cleverly incorporating a digital menu system accessed by a handlebar mounted scroll button. Key features include: gear position indicator, heated grip status, odometer, two trip settings, service indicator, range to empty, fuel level, average and current MPG, clock, access to turn off traction control features.

 

DRL Headlight
