A tribute to triumph
The RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK’s livery echoes the distinctive colours that are indelibly linked with the RSV4’s racing debut. Bold, explosive black combines with red and white details on the top fairing, lug, fuel tank and tail fairing. It was 26 July 2009 when Max Biaggi, on the Brno circuit, took the first unforgettable victory of the Aprilia RSV4 in the World Superbike Championship. No one could have known it at the time, but that was the first episode of a story that became legendary. It was the start of one of the most victorious stories ever for a single model in the most important factory derivative championship in the world, with an extraordinary collection of seven world titles (3 Rider and 4 Manufacturer), 44 wins and 102 podiums.
Today, Aprilia celebrates that historic day for the brand by bringing back the iconic livery symbolic of the RSV4’s spectacular sporting début on the crowning jewel of the V4 range: the superbike RSV4 Factory and the hypernaked Tuono V4 Factory. In this special version, RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory also come standard with carbon front brake air intakes and with a carbon front mudguard. The progressive numbering of the model appears on the fuel tank.
This is how the SE-09 SBK special numbered edition is born, unveiled for the first time in public during the weekend of the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
It was the Aprilia Racing factory riders, Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, currently protagonists in the top world motorcycling championship astride the RS-GP prototypes from Noale, who christened the RSV4 Factory and the Tuono V4 Factory in this new, exciting, and evocative version.
The Aprilia V4 Factory SE-09 SBK machines stand out for their livery dominated by black with the characteristic red and white trim on the top fairing, lug, fuel tank, and tail fairing, exactly like the RSV4 that astonished the world at its début on the WSBK stage. An unmistakeable mix in its linear simplicity, which brings the brand from Noale and its legendary sporting history to the mind of any motorcycling enthusiast.

Forged on the racetrack
The exclusive nature of the RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK goes way beyond aesthetics. The RSV4 Factory version has always boasted exceptional gear but this beast also benefits carbon fibre, an ultra-lightweight material that is found in the front mudguard and the air intakes that cool the front brake callipers. Each bike’s unique sequence number is displayed along the fuel tank, ensuring this RSV4 is destined to become a collector’s item… but one which is raring to take to the track.
Racing feeling
The RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK sports the latest evolution of the mighty Aprilia 65° V4 engine. Its 217 horsepower output is kept in check by Öhlins semiactive suspension, finetuned courtesy of meticulous teamwork by engineers from both the Swedish brand and Noale on a mission with a very clear main goal: to deliver maximum performance and maximum “riding feeling”. Special Smart EC 2. technology enables simple, customisable fork and shock absorber calibration with a choice of semiactive and manual modes.
Numbered special edition
The model’s unique sequence number is proudly emblazoned on the fuel tank, making every RSV4 Factory SE-O9 SBK truly one of a kind.
DRL lights
The triple LED front light cluster with perimetral DRL lights exemplifies Aprilia’s sports bike illumination. It also includes a “bending lights” function in the form of two extra headlights that increase visibility on the lean by illuminating the inside of a curve.
Racing kit
The front mudguard and front brake air intakes are made from carbon, with the latter delivering efficient ventilation of the Brembo Stylema® monoblock front brake callipers and maintaining stable braking, even in the sharpest manoeuvres.
Engine
An uncompromising, phenomenal experience that represents the apex of Aprilia bikes destined for competition. This is the extraordinary vision that the RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK brings to life with its 217 horsepower and 125 Nm torque at 10500 rpm.
Chassis
The RSV’s exceptional chassis feeling is delivered courtesy of Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 and an advanced aluminium fork with a lower reinforced brace. Designed to lower masses and increase the stability, it was inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP involved in MotoGP.
