The sometimes-tricky transition from pedal to motorized power has never been simpler than it is with the Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1 range. While the EE 1.12 and EE 1.16 already meet this challenge for the youngest learners, the arrival of the EE 1.18 and EE 1.20 means there is an offering for all junior age groups to hone their skills in preparation for the transition to full-blown motocross machines.

The new EE 1.18 is the next choice in the balance bike line-up for riders progressing across the EE 1 range. The standard mode is set at 13.5 mph for those developing their skills, while more experienced riders can select the advanced mode for speeds up to 18 mph. The removable lithium-ion battery with a user-friendly power-tool style interface delivers 30 to 45 minutes of riding time with quick and easy changes to keep the wheels turning.Weighing just 31 lb including the battery, the EE 1.18 is lightweight and keeps most of its weight positioned low on the frame to ensure it is easy to handle, boosting a rider’s confidence.

Innova pneumatic tires on 20-inch wheels provide confident grip as young riders master their machine and the terrain.

With the ability to select between three ride modes ranging from 10 to 20 mph, the EE 1.20 allows riders to learn the basics of their machine or open things up to a dirt-turning pace. With a light, yet serious build, the EE 1.20 can unlock endless riding potential.

2024 Husqvarna EE1.2 Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

True throttle action

With a twistgrip throttle, the EE 1.20 allows young riders to discover how to control power from a young age. Learning how to use a throttle correctly is a fundamental, and very valuable, skill that all riders will learn on the EE 1.20.

Quick change battery

The removable lithium-ion battery has a user-friendly power-tool style interface for quick and easy changes. Fully charged spare batteries extend riding time if and when required with the EE 1.20 offering up to one hour of riding time.

Ride modes

The EE 1.20 features three ride modes for safe progression. For riders new to two wheels, the training mode has a top speed of 16 km/h with the standard mode set at 24 km/h. For more competent riders, or those who have safely developed their skills using the first two settings, the advanced mode allows for speeds of up to 32 km/h.

Styled in line with the latest offroad machines from Husqvarna Motorcycles, the EE 1.20 features a classic, Swedish-inspired colour scheme. Complete with a blue anodised bar mount and a small selection of Husqvarna Factory Racing’s sponsor logos, the EE 1.20 allows youngsters to imitate their racing heroes.

Easy handling, more fun

Weighing just under 15 kg including the battery, the EE 1.20 is lightweight with most of the weight positioned low on the frame. This ensures it is easy to handle and boosts children’s confidence as they develop their riding skills. In addition, it allows them to pick up their balance bike should they need to. Additionally, due to its size, the EE 1.20 can easily be lifted into the back of the car and transported to a safe riding location, if needed.

Front suspension

Offering 80 mm of suspension travel, the Manitou J-Unit Machete front forks allow youngsters to begin riding rougher offroad terrain and explore jumping for the first time. With an air spring and adjustable settings, the forks allow for a tailored set-up based on the rider’s speed and weight.

Due to its capability to travel up to 32 km/h, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes are fitted to the EE 1.20. For an additional layer of safety, the rear disc is completely enclosed within a plastic guard.

Manufactured from strong aluminium and tig-welded to ensure a durable construction, the frame offers modern ergonomics with the placement of seat, footrests, and handlebars all within easy reach. This design encourages correct body and foot positioning to ensure children develop a perfect riding technique from a young age.

Low seat height

With a low seat height, young riders can confidently touch the ground when starting and stopping. This also allows children to easily dab with a foot while riding to maintain their balance and forward momentum, should they need to. The EE 1.20 is perfectly suited to 10-12 year old children weighing up to 52 kg with an inside leg length of 61-66 cm. As riders grow in size, the seat height can be adjusted easily.

Tapered footrest

Ideally positioned to be comfortable when either riding stood up or sat down, the footrests allow youngsters to familiarise themselves with the layout of a full size motorcycle from an early age.
