– The 109 cubic inch (1783cm³), 54-degree, V-twin engine rumbles through a pair of large-diameter mufflers as it puts power through the shaft drive and down into the 240mm wide rear tire.
– Like the brakes from a GSX-R1000R, the M109R’s radial-mounted, dual front brakes deliver sure stopping performance. The large-diameter inverted fork and the 240mm wide rear tire give the bike a tough, aggressive stance that also delivers a smooth, controlled ride.
– Stylish and compact, the LED taillight built into the rear fender features durable, efficient and maintenance-free operation.
V-TWIN ENGINE
V-Twin Engine 1783 cm3, liquid-cooled, DOHC, V-Twin engine is designed to produce a massive tractable power and responsive torque. Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system produces smooth throttle response even at low engine rpm. Suzuki Advanced Sump System (SASS), a compact dry-sump lubrication system. It is designed for reduced engine height, a lower crankshaft position and lower center of gravity.
ALUMINUM-ALLOY PISTONS
Huge 112 mm (4.4 in) forged aluminum-alloy pistons. These are one of the largest reciprocating gasoline engine pistons being used in any production passenger car or motorcycle, while featuring race-proven design to reduce friction and inertial mass.
AIR CLEANER
Dual, triangular air cleaner covers, one on each side of the engine.
SUSPENSION
A cast aluminum-alloy swingarm works with a progressive linkage and a single rear shock to deliver 4.6 inch (118mm) of wheel travel; spring preload can be adjusted to suit rider and passenger weight. The inverted front forks feature race-proven cartridge internals with 1.8 inch (46mm) stanchion tubes producing 5.1 inch (130mm) of wheel travel.
BRAKE SYSTEM
The race-proven front brake system came straight off the sportbike, including radial-mount opposed-four-piston front brake callipers and 12.2 inches (310mm) discs. The system’s combination of stopping power and feel through the front brake lever is unmatched by anything in its class. The rear brake system includes a dual-piston calliper and a 10.8 inch (275mm) disc.
SUZUKI ADVANCED SUMP SYSTEM (SASS)
Suzuki Advanced Sump System (SASS), a compact dry sump lubrication system, provides reduced engine height, a lower crankshaft position, and a lower center of gravity.
