| Aprilia Racing secured a solid result in the sprint at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Starting from third on the grid, Marco Bezzecchi dropped a couple of positions at the start but recovered them during the sprint to finish fourth. Jorge Martín claimed his first pole position with Aprilia Racing, his 21st in the top class and 42nd in all classes. This result places him 12th on the all-time list of top-class pole positions in the modern era. His previous pole came 616 days ago at Phillip Island in 2024. The Spanish rider then battled hard throughout the sprint to finish fifth. Aprilia Racing achieved a historic qualifying result, locking out the top four positions on the starting grid for the first time, with Martín ahead of Ogura, Bezzecchi and Fernández. It was also Aprilia Racing’s first pole in Assen, its eighteenth in the top-class and its fourth of the season, secured by three different riders (Bezzecchi, Ogura and Martín). Special mention goes to the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team riders, who secured an outstanding one-two in the sprint, with Raúl Fernández in first and Ai Ogura in second. | |||
