ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S MICHAEL MOSIMAN 12TH AT ANAHEIM OPENER

JASON ANDERSON FINISHES 14TH IN 450 CLASS
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team battled brutal conditions at the AMA Supercross season opener on Saturday, held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. Despite a slick track and torrential downpours, teammates Michael Mosiman and Jason Anderson held it together to finish 12th and 14th, respectively.

Michael Mosiman was top-10 at the start of the 250SX West heat and charged his way into the top-five with just over three minutes remaining in the race. He held strong to take fifth and earn a direct transfer to the 250SX West Main Event. He started in the top-10 in the Main before crashing in the rhythm section before the tunnel, which put him to the very back of the pack. He remounted and charged back to a 12th place finish.

“I started the day off feeling pretty solid,” said Mosiman. “I felt good and enjoyed the track. I made a few mistakes in the first lap of the main then I was in catch up mode after that. I think my speed was decent for the conditions. It’s not what I expected, but I know what I’m capable of. I’m looking forward to a dry weekend next week.”

Jason Anderson was top-five at the start of the 450 moto and stayed consistent to finish fifth and transfer to the 450 Main Event. He was top-five at the start of the Main and battled the tough conditions the entire moto. He held his ground and finished 14th.

“Anaheim was an interesting day,” said Anderson. “Practice wasn’t bad, and the heat race was ok. It rained so hard in the main and I struggled. I’m ready to focus on next week’s race in Glendale and I’m looking forward to getting back on the box.”

Factory supported Dean Wilson finished second in his heat, then took the holeshot in the 450 main. After leading the majority of the race, he took home an impressive fourth-place finish.
