| Saturday on the Sachsenring ended with a bittersweet balance for Aprilia Racing. Starting from the eighth spot on the grid, Jorge Martín had a good start and a solid sprint race, finishing sixth and taking home important championship points. Marco Bezzecchi suffered a crash in the opening minutes of Q2 on turn 7. The Italian rider was taken to the circuit medical center where, under the supervision of MotoGP Medical Director Dr. Angel Charte, and with the support of Lifenet Healthcare, Official Medical Partner of Aprilia Racing, he underwent an X-ray examination which revealed a complete and displaced fracture of the left clavicle. This type of fracture requires revision surgery, which will be done in Italy by Dr. Giuseppe Porcellini on Sunday. Also worth a mention is the performance of the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team riders, with Ai Ogura fourth and Raúl Fernández right behind him, contributing to a total of three RS-GP26 bikes in the top six. | |||
