Arai Helmets Renews Partnership with American Flat Track for 2019

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 14, 2019) – American Flat Track (AFT) is excited to announce the continuation of its partnership with Arai Helmet, Inc. for 2019, naming the industry leader in head protection as the Official Helmet of American Flat Track for the second consecutive year.

With over six decades of commitment to rider safety to its credit, Arai is universally recognized as the premier helmet brand in the world. Renowned for its unique blend of comfort and unparalleled safety, Arai Helmets are designed by riders, for riders. The accolades for Arai go beyond that of just their street helmets – fans will notice many of AFT’s top riders dawning Arai helmets on the racetrack.

“Arai is respected as a leader in safety helmet technology in every discipline of motorcycle sport,” said Michael Lock, CEO of American Flat Track. “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Arai during this period of rapid growth for American Flat Track.”

“Arai has been supporting Flat Track racers for nearly 40 years and expanding our support of the series helps to elevate the entire sport,” said Brian Weston, Managing Director of Arai Helmet, Inc. “2018 was Arai’s first year as an American Flat Track partner and based on the success of that partnership, we’ve elected to return for 2019.  AFT continues to deliver professional and exciting racing with increasing fan attendance, an expanding telecast package, and more manufacturer participation than ever before. We couldn’t be more excited to continue our support for the 2019 season.”

American Flat Track will kick off its highly-anticipated 2019 season with the Bigger, Better, and Faster DAYTONA TT presented under the lights of the Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

About Arai Helmet

Hirotake Arai created the first helmet in Japan for his own protection, not just for business. To this day, the Arai company is still owned and operated by the Arai family, driven by the same motivation of superior rider protection that drove Hirotake. Comfort, ventilation, aerodynamics, low weight and low noise are just a few of the benefits most riders look for in a helmet, and of course Arai strives to deliver those things. However, Arai has never forgotten the most import function of a helmet – protection – which is why Arai focuses on The Consistent Pursuit of Gains in Protection.
