Barnes set the tone early on Saturday by winning the opening cross test and maintaining control to take the day’s win by over ten seconds, despite a late-race scare where a collision with a tree left him riding the final mile of the Enduro test without front brakes. On Sunday, a first-test crash prevented Barnes from sweeping the weekend’s daily honors, but his consistent speed in the final tests allowed him to protect his lead. Cody was able to use the cushion he built on Saturday to secure the overall win by 7.3 seconds. |
