| JORGE MARTÍN FIFTH, SUCCESSFUL OPERATION ON MARCO BEZZECCHI’S LEFT CLAVICLE. PODIUM FOR THE SUPERFILE TRACKHOUSE MOTOGP TEAM WITH OGURA SECOND AND FERNÁNDEZ THIRD | |||
| The Sachsenring weekend closed out with three RS-GP26 bikes in the top five for Aprilia Racing.
After starting from the seventh spot on the grid, Jorge Martín rode a faultless race, defending fifth place with determination all the way to the chequered flag. The Spanish rider maintains the championship lead with 208 points. Marco Bezzecchi has undergone successful surgery performed by Dr. Giuseppe Porcellini at the University Hospital of Sassuolo; the fracture of his left clavicle was reduced and stabilized. Although it is too early to define a precise recovery timeline, we hope to see Marco return to racing at the next GP at Silverstone. However, a more definitive prognosis will be delivered in the coming days based on the evolution of his clinical condition. Also worth a mention is the performance by the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team riders who, after the one-two in Assen, both finished on the Sachsenring podium as well, with Ai Ogura second and Raúl Fernández third, contributing to taking three RS-GP26 machines into the top five. |
