In 2026, Honda’s presence will be centered on the iconic ‘Goodwood Hillclimb’ and the ‘First Glance’ paddock, where its latest models will be showcased for visitors to see in action.

Dynamic debut: Prelude HRC Concept

One of the highlights of this year’s participation will be the world premiere dynamic unveiling of the Prelude HRC Concept. Inspired by Honda’s motorsport activities, this model showcases the potential to further evolve the brand’s sporting DNA. Developed with high-performance components designed by Honda Racing Corporation and Honda Access Corporation, the Prelude HRC Concept explores the potential for enhancing driving dynamics and driver engagement through motorsport-derived technologies.

Their participation in the hill climb offers the first opportunity to see this performance-focused interpretation of the Prelude in action, underscoring Honda’s commitment to delivering exhilarating driving experiences through its electrified vehicles. Jessica Hawkins, Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1™ Team Ambassador and F1™ Academy Director, will perform the demonstration lap of the Prelude HRC Concept, and driver Tiago Monteiro will also make other appearances on the hill.

Electric performance in motion: Honda Super-N

Also participating in the hill climb is the Honda Super-N, a compact electric vehicle designed to bring a new level of driving pleasure to urban mobility. It leverages Honda’s expertise in the Japanese kei car segment, gained with its successful N series, to offer impressive space and versatility. With its distinctive design and focus on engaging dynamics, the Super-N demonstrates how electrification can deliver both practicality and emotional appeal. It features functions such as BOOST mode and a lightweight architecture to enhance responsiveness and driving pleasure.

Electric innovation on the hill: Honda WN7

The new Honda WN7, the brand’s first electric motorcycle for Europe, will also participate in the hill climb. Developed under the motto “Be the Wind,” the WN7 combines Honda’s traditional focus on balance and control with the unique characteristics of electric propulsion, such as instant torque and refined, quiet performance.

Its participation in Goodwood highlights Honda’s progress towards electrification in its motorcycle business, while maintaining the core principles of riding pleasure that define the brand.

Tradition meets modern performance: CB1000F

Completing this dynamic range is the CB1000F, which will be ridden by three-time world champion and Honda legend Freddie Spencer: a modern roadster inspired by Honda’s rich motorcycle heritage. Combining classic styling with contemporary engineering, the CB1000F reflects Honda’s approach of merging proven performance concepts with modern technology to deliver engaging and accessible riding experiences.

The DNA of competition: the return of the Williams FW11

Reinforcing Honda’s deep-rooted tradition in motorsport, the Williams Honda FW11 Formula 1™ car will also participate in the hill climb. As Honda’s first Formula 1™ car to win a championship, the FW11 represents a pivotal moment in the brand’s racing history. Its presence at Goodwood underscores the role of motorsport as a testing ground for Honda’s technologies and engineering expertise, and commemorates the 40th anniversary of Honda’s first FIA Formula 1™ World Championship constructors’ title, achieved in 1986.

Damon Hill and Ryo Michigami will drive the FW11. Damon Hill, the legendary driver who won the F1™ Drivers’ Championship in 1996, will be joined at the wheel by Ryo Michigami, winner of the 2000 All Japan GT Championship (JGTC) with the NSX and a driver with extensive experience in top categories in Japan and abroad.

Innovation based on competition and electrification

Honda’s participation reflects its overall strategic direction, which combines:

  • Electrification in both cars and motorcycles
  • Performance development based on competition technologies
  • A constant commitment to offering the “pleasure of driving” and the “pleasure of riding a motorcycle”

Hans de Jaeger, President of Honda Motor Europe, says: “Goodwood offers a unique platform to showcase Honda’s innovation in action. By focusing on a dynamic presence this year, we are demonstrating how our latest models combine performance, electrification, and engineering expertise in both cars and motorcycles.”

Since its founding, Honda has viewed racing as a testing ground for both its people and its technologies. Its presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed continues to reflect this philosophy, combining tradition, innovation, and the mobility of the future at one of the world’s most famous motorsport events.
