Mateo Oliveira and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna win The Golden Shamrock Hare Scramble

Mateo Oliveira - Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing - Fort Sage WHS

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Mateo Oliveira took victory in Round 3 of the 2026 AMA West Hare Scrambles (WHS) at Fort Sage on Sunday, extending his advantage in the Pro Class point-standings.

West Hare Scrambles – Round 3

Having finished second at the opening two rounds, the 23-year-old was intent on claiming the top step of the podium at The Golden Shamrock Hare Scramble, racing his Husqvarna FE 450 to a convincing wire-to-wire victory on the difficult, dusty terrain near Doyle, California.

The win didn’t come easily, however, with the reigning WHS number one completing five laps in a total time of 2:55.56s, just one second clear of second-place finisher Zane Roberts in a tightly-contested finish.

Victory at Round 3 – his first of the 2026 WHS season – sees Oliveira extend his Pro Class series lead to 13 points courtesy of a 2-2-1 scorecard, with the fourth round scheduled for the Memorial Day Hare Scramble at the famed Glen Helen Raceway on May 23-24.

“It feels awesome to return to the top step out here!” commented Oliveira. “I’ve been right there in the fight, although I was just a little short each time, so this feels amazing. It was an awesome race today. We had some insane battles out here in the dust, which was crazy, and my competitors were on it today, so that keeps it fun and interesting.”
