Moto3™ KTM GP Academy set for 2027 as Tech3 confirm full MotoGP™ line-up

2027 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup

Tech3 KTM will field Adrian Fernandez and Kristian Daniel Jr. in the 2027 Moto3 world championship with the KTM RC4 as part of the KTM GP Academy. The Spaniard and American join racers Luca Marini and Senna Agius who will be the team’s representatives in the MotoGP class.

Fernandez returns to Tech3 as a Grand Prix winner and championship candidate for what will be the current 22-year-old’s seventh season in Moto3. Adrian steered the KTM RC4 with the crew in 2022 and has been re-signed with a view to a title tilt in 2027.
Fernandez will have a rookie alongside him. Daniel Jr., who turns 18 in February 2027, has been plying his trade in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. The Californian, who has been based in Barcelona since 2018, earned his first podium finish in the fast feeder series on KTM RC 250 R Rookies motorcycles in 2025, and came extremely close to his first win in 2026: finishing 4th in the championship standings.
Tech3 have previously helped Deniz Öncü, Ayumu Sasaki, Daniel Holgado and Valentin Perrone to maiden podium appearances and Rico Salmela to top five speed in his first campaign in the class.
The other half of 2027 Tech3 consists of 29-year-old Luca Marini, who brings almost six terms of premier class experience to the squad and 21-year-old MotoGP rookie Senna Agius. The Australian has 4 wins and 9 podiums in less than three seasons of Moto2™ competition.

Adrian Fernandez: “I’m very happy to be back with Tech3. It’s a team I know well and with which I shared an important chapter of my career, so coming back now is very special. I return with more experience, a different mindset and, above all, a lot of ambition. The goal for 2027 can only be to fight for the world championship. We know it will be a long and demanding season but we have the motivation, the hard work and the potential to be at the front. I can’t wait to get started, settle back into the team and work together from day one to fight for the title.”
Kristian Daniel Jr: “Honestly, I have to say I’m super-grateful for this opportunity. I know how hard I work, and to be given such a great chance with such a great team, there isn’t much more I could’ve asked for. I know it won’t be easy…but it never is! And I’m confident me and the team will work hard towards the same goal.”
Senna Agius: “A lifelong dream of mine has come true: reaching MotoGP. So many years of hard work have gone into this moment, and I’m incredibly grateful to Guenther and everyone at Tech3 for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait to repay their faith. I know the challenge ahead, but I’m ready to learn, work hard, and become the best version of myself with this team. A huge thank you to my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me and made sacrifices throughout my journey. I’d also like to thank every team, engineer, and mechanic I’ve worked with over the years – they’ve all played a part in helping me reach this point. I can’t wait to get started and make everyone proud.”
Nicolas Goyon, Red Bull KTM Tech3 Team Manager: “We are pleased to announce our 2027 Moto3 line-up with Kristian Daniel Jr. and Adrián Fernández. Firstly, it is exciting to welcome Adrián back into the team. He rode for us in 2022, but he was just at the beginning of his career. Now he’s much more mature and used to battling at the front, so we all feel that he is the perfect candidate on a strong KTM to be able to fight for the championship next year. On the other side of the garage, we have the young American – Kristian will just be 18 next season. We have been following his progress through the season in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, and the first word that comes to mind is determination. Kristian left California eight years ago and quit everything to try his chances in Europe. Now he will be the first American to compete a full season in this championship, and here at Tech3 we are sure that he will bring a lot to the team.”
