This is a high-end, adaptable, READY TO RACE electric-powered mini-crosser aimed at both beginner and competitive junior riders. With zero emissions and sound pollution, the updated for 2021 KTM SX-E 5 is at the leading-edge of competitive minicross and a viable alternative to the petrol-powered 50cc engine, bringing with it an entirely new generation of competitive racing. The KTM SX-E 5 is fitted with a compact electric motor, powered by a strong power pack, delivering almost inaudible noise emissions. It also features high-quality components that make it significantly different from the many electric minicycles available on the market. This is a fully-fledged competition motorcycle with low noise emissions, making it more accessible to younger riders for use in areas where noise emissions are restricted.

SUSPENSION
The KTM SX-E 5 features a modern, fully adjustable WP XACT air fork, with outstanding comfort, damping characteristics and directional stability.

The 35 mm upside-down front fork has 205 mm of travel and thanks to the air spring fitted in the left fork leg, can be adjusted to perfectly suit the rider’s weight using a simple air pump.

The high quality WP XACT shock absorber is linked directly to the swingarm and provides excellent damping performance. It offers 185 mm of travel and can also be adjusted to suit rider preference and track conditions.

 

BRAKE SYSTEM
Front and rear hydraulic brakes produced by FORMULA, combined with lightweight WAVE discs, ensure the highest standard of safety and the best, easy to control deceleration – even for the youngest riders.

 

FRAME
The frame is made from lightweight, high-strength steel and features the latest profiles found in the performance-proven SX range. It is adapted to host the electric drive train and constructed using high precision due to robot welding. The lightweight, rigid subframe is made of extruded polyamide, reinforced by fibreglass and contributes to the easy, precise handling and outstanding stability of the KTM SX-E 5.

 

SUSPENSION POSITION
It is possible to lower the entire bike by mounting the rear shock in an alternative position and by lowering the front fork in the triple clamps.

 

BODYWORK POSITION
Without the need for a fuel tank, a plastic spacer element was designed to provide the same READY TO RACE ergonomics as the combustion model
equivalent of the KTM SX-E 5. This element can be fixed in two positions which allows the seat height to be lowered by approximately 25 mm.

ADJUSTABLE SEAT HEIGHT
The seat height on the KTM SX-E 5 can be adjusted to multiple levels. The standard model comes with a seat height of 665 mm, which can easily be reduced to 615 mm.

 

KTM POWERPARTS LOWERING KIT
With the aid of a Suspension Lowering Kit from the KTM PowerParts catalogue, the WP suspension units can be further lowered to a minimum seat height of just 560 mm, accommodating the smallest four-year-old riders or even younger.

 

SIX RIDE MODES
Using the Multifunctional Display, the user can select between six different ride modes. Each mode offers different power characteristics suited for
pure beginners (1) all the way up to experienced racers (6). The modes can be secured with a dongle that is located below the seat, ensuring that young
riders cannot select a different mode on their own.
