2022 Suzuki Burgman 400: ELEGANT COMFORT AND UTILITY.

Introducing the 2022 Suzuki Burgman 400…

Already the leader in its category, the 2022 Suzuki Burgman 400 has a host of styling, technical, and rider feature updates to solidify its reputation as the Elegant Athlete of the scooter world. The Burgman 400’s slim and sharp styling now features a new Metallic Matte Sword Silver paint scheme that combines with blue wheels and stitching on the seat that pay homage to Suzuki’s on-road sporting heritage.

The Burgman’s nose and tail blend style with full LED function, as the dual headlights have integrated position lights, while the rear combination taillight elegantly blends with the smooth bodywork. A more functional design is brought to the instrument cluster that clearly shows riding range and real-time fuel consumption that will help the rider conserve fuel.

The Burgman’s strong and responsive 400cc engine has a revised camshaft profile and a new dual-spark technology ignition system to comply with worldwide emissions standards, while offering good fuel economy. Like the systems used on Suzuki’s V-Strom 650 and GSX-S750, the Burgman now features a rider-selectable Traction Control* system that offers the rider peace of mind and excellent road-holding ability in a variety of road conditions. Suzuki’s Easy Start System is now a standard Burgman feature, so a momentary press of the starter button starts the engine, while the updated fuel injection system maintains a steady, smooth idle under all conditions.

The large-diameter 15-inch cast front wheel provides excellent stability while enhancing visual appearance and carries a pair of 260mm disc brake rotors, while the 13-inch rear wheel has a 210mm hydraulic disc brake for reliable stopping control. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)** monitors wheel speeds and hydraulic pressure hundreds of times per second to provide stopping power that matches the available traction.

Blending styling, engine, and chassis performance, along with confidence-inspiring rider aids, the Suzuki Burgman 400 remains the premium scooter-of-choice for riders of all experience levels.

Sophisticated, slim looks. Refined, fuel-injected power on demand. Street-wise features and equipment. An unmatched combination of style, practicality, comfort and performance that help you make the most of modern life’s possibilities. The BURGMAN 400 is for those who appreciate the better things in life.

The Burgman 400 ABS is striking in style and flowing with comfort. Powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled engine, the Burgman 400 ABS* is a blast to ride around town. With plush suspension, stepped seating, and an adjustable backrest, each ride is as comfortable as the last. Whether you’re transporting lunch to the country-side or picking up some groceries, the huge underseat compartment has got you covered. Each scooter utilizes Suzuki’s advanced fuel injection system to ensure a crisp throttle response. Simply put, the Burgman 400 ABS is the ultimate scooter for style and performance.

*ABS is a supplemental device for brake operation, not a device for shortening stopping distance. Always remember to reduce speed sufficiently before approaching curves and corners.

The slim rear deck of the Burgman 400 features independent LED rear-combination lamps with the turn signals at their tips. Its sharply sculpted design expresses elegance and agility.

Abundant luggage space includes a 42-liter, under-seat storage compartment, large enough for two helmets, plus two front compartments for small personal items. Convenient switchable under-seat lights illuminate the entire storage area.

Helmet sizes and shapes vary, so some helmets may not fit in the under-seat compartment.
The front bodywork contains two storage compartments: a 2.8-liter compartment on the left and a 3.5-liter compartment on the right that contains a convenient DC power outlet for charging electric devices on the fly.

The stepped dual seat has new 3.1-inch (78.5 mm) thick padding for extra comfort. The seat’s width and profile are slim to add comfort for the rider and passenger.

The seat’s new cover features blue, double stitching and accent piping adding to the Burgman’s look of luxury.

To increase comfort, especially on longer rides, the seat incorporates a rider’s backrest that is adjustable by a half-inch or a full-inch, fore-and-aft, at the press of a lever.

The combination of the seat changes and floorboard position creates an upright riding position that is comfortable and sporty for the rider.

Cutaway footboards allow the rider to comfortably move and support the scooter at stops and starts.

Fold-down rear footrests provide comfort, letting the passenger feel planted and relaxed, even during extended rides.

A pair of ergonomically designed grab bars are mounted to the sides of the seat so the passenger can maintain a good, comfortable grip on the scooter.

A security gate incorporated in the lower portion of the bodywork allows a chain lock to be passed through a body panel, then around the frame, and then around an immovable object.

The ignition switch is fitted with a magnetic security cover that opens only with a correctly coded key.

The Burgman’s new Traction Control* system reduces slipping when taking off from a stop with the throttle fully open and lowers wheel-spin on slippery or uneven road surfaces to maintain efficient forward movement.

Whether riding across wet asphalt or cobblestone streets, traction control offers the rider peace of mind and excellent road-holding ability.
