2024 KTM 450 Rally Replica: SOLID RELIABILITY IN ALL TERRAIN.
Introducing the 2024 KTM 450 Rally Replica…
Purpose-built and expertly engineered, the 2024 KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is ready to take on the world’s toughest multi-stage cross-country races. Drawing on the experience of multiple victories in the Rally arena – as well input from KTM racers who live to win – the 2024 KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA remains the most READY TO RACE Rally bike on the market.
With so many unknowns over 1,000s of kilometers of racing, the Dakar Rally is the pinnacle of rally-raid, and one of the most notoriously difficult events in the world; that’s why using the best equipment developed by the most successful team in rally history makes the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA an outstanding choice for competitors to rely on.
The Dakar Rally is one of the few events where amateur riders can compete alongside the professionals, and while this gives the opportunity for emerging rally racing talent to showcase their ability, the factory-developed KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA provides racers with similar equipment to their factory counterparts. From its KTM 450 cc SOHC engine, to its purpose-built rider triangle for those long days in the saddle and a Pankl six-speed transmission, the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is developed with experience, exquisite engineering and intense durability testing – all approved and tested by factory riders such as this year’s Dakar Rally winner, Kevin Benavides.
Built on success, there are few differences between the replica machine and its sister model, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s KTM 450 RALLY bike. The KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA, which is a serious machine for those racing in national and international rally competitions, or adventure events such as the KTM ADVENTURE RALLY, has also been the springboard of many rally careers. Mason Klein, who began competing at rally events in 2020, won the Rally2 class in the World Rally-Raid Championship (2022), before taking a stage win at this year’s Dakar Rally with a number of top 10 stage results aboard his KTM machine.
The KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA has been the motorcycle of choice for many successful competitors such as Paolo Lucci and Brad Cox, both of whom are battling for the Dakar Rally2 category victory in 2023, and like their racing peers, compete at several international rallies throughout the season. In a notorious race where just reaching the finish line is a huge achievement, it’s also important not to forget the brave warriors of Dakar; those riders who compete in the Original By Motul class (Malle Moto). In this category racers compete without any mechanical assistance, and on average 70% of the entrants annually choose KTM machinery, which is testament to the solid reliability of the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA and its incredible pedigree.
The KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA boasts state-of-the-art components that have been developed in the extremes of the desert, and gnarliest of stony terrain. With minimal weight, comfortable ergonomics and rideability at the heart of the design, the WP XACT PRO COMPONENTS suspension offers a precise feel, consistent performance, all-important traction, and is built to absorb high speed hits and whatever the terrain throws at it. The 450 cc powerplant is light yet durable with an optimized power delivery thanks to its cutting-edge Keihin Management system and ECU maps that have been refined for the conditions of rally racing. The Pankl transmission is the same as used by the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, as is the exceptional chrome-moly steel frame.
“The KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is an extension of our factory development program, and it has been the choice of countless riders on their quest to either just complete rally races such as the Dakar, or reach results close to the professionals. The bike is READY TO RACE out of the crate, and has all of the needed capabilities for high-level success. Many riders have relied on this motorcycle to help them achieve their rally goals, and it is developed in-line with our Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Dakar Rally winning machine. This model usually sells-out fast, and it’s great to see so many of them battling at the rallies around the world,” said KTM Rally Technical Manager, Stefan Huber.

2024 KTM 450 Rally Replica Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits
Engine & Exhaust
Cylinder Head
The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) head was constructed from premium-quality materials, using precise manufacturing and tolerances to deliver leading performance for longer periods.
Transmission
The transmission has the exact same ratios as the Dakar Rally championship winning machines of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. It features an improved shifting mechanism for slicker shifting at all times. It is made from high-quality steel and is treated with a special coating to ensure high durability and reliability, things that are essential for long-distance rallies.
Engine Management System
The state-of-the-art Keihin engine management system (EMS) features a 44 mm throttle body, for instant response and consistent performance due to its unique injector position. The ECU maps have been adapted for the airbox and cylinder head. Different maps ensure optimal power delivery for each gear according to information received by the gear sensor. The throttle cable mount allows smoother cable routing and better access.
FULL FACTORY SOUNDTRACK
Exhaust
The Akrapovič exhaust is tuned to work perfectly with the previously updated engine and airbox. The silencer is short and sits low for better mass centralization, which further improves handling.
MAXIMUM AIR-FLOW
Airbox
The airbox is mounted above the engine, ensuring better airflow for optimum performance and instant throttle response. The Twin Air filter offers effective protection of the intake from dirt and dust. In addition, the design provides plenty of space for electric components such as the battery, which is located in a central area between the steering head and the airbox, further improving mass centralization.
Chassis
SLEEKER YET STRONGER
Frame
The KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA features a high-tech and lightweight trellis frame made of chromium-molybdenum steel. The frame design offers optimized stiffness, thus providing optimum feedback to the rider as well as ideal handling and excellent straight-line stability. The rear self-supporting fuel tank with a capacity of 16 liters doubles as the subframe. In total, the bike can carry approximately 33 liters of fuel.
Swingarm
The 2024 model features a cast aluminum swingarm that is ultra-light and has precisely tuned flex behavior that supports the suspension action. The linkage system transfers force to the fully adjustable shock absorber, which gives the rider great feel, ideal traction and optimal bottoming resistance – for better stability and safety when in full flight.
HIGH-SPEED PERFORMANCE
Suspension
The 2024 KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is fitted with the latest WP Pro Components suspension. Up front, a 48 mm closed cartridge WP XACT PRO fork features sophisticated Cone Valve technology, which combines with the new WP XACT PRO shock in the rear for improved overall damping, balanced responsiveness, and higher bottoming resistance to keep things stable at race pace. These fully-adjustable components can be fine-tuned precisely to suit the rider and terrain.
Ergonomics & Comfort
Seats
With its design based on feedback from elite Rally racers, the seat combines a slim design with the ideal comfort for long stages. It provides good ergonomics, optimum grip and allows the rider to maintain full control of the bike.
Bodywork & Graphics
LEANER AND MEANER
Bodywork
With direct input from KTM Factory Racing riders, the bodywork has been shaped to keep the bike as slim as possible. The aim was perfect ergonomics and contact points, with more freedom of movement for the rider. Designed for competition, the navigation tower is made of extra-light carbon fiber. It is well protected behind the fairing, with the set-up offering perfect aerodynamics that drastically decrease turbulent wind forces around the rider’s head while seated. All of this translates to less stress and fatigue.
