ENHANCED NEW 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT GOES THE DISTANCE – WITH BEAST-LIKE AGGRESSION
In receiving its boldest transformation yet, the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT takes another significant leap forward and accelerates further ahead of the chasing pack. THE LONG DISTANCE BEAST just got even more radical, fulfilling its design brief to meet incredible dynamism, and taking the Sports Tourer category to exceptional new heights.
Already the most extreme bike in its segment – it has adrenaline rush at its core, boasting class-leading technology, superior handling, and an engine package that is even more powerful and torquey than ever before. It’s a refined package that delivers more muscle and aggression than its predecessors.
Now boasting a displacement of 1350 cc and sharing the same latest LC8 V-twin engine of the 2024 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO, the upgrades further optimize performance and takes the new generation to new heights. A centrally positioned ram air intake, a redesigned air box, and a wider radiator are just a few of the enhancements that boost both power and efficiency, taking its capabilities to the next level.
Riders will be able to take full advantage of revised gearing that makes 5th and 6th gears far more effective, resulting in better use of the rpm range – they’re no longer considered to be overdrive gears at moderate speeds, which makes for a more READY TO RACE motorcycle. The goal was clear: to create an exceptionally fast road bike with serious track ambitions, delivering peak performance in every scenario.
The Kiska design team has gone to work on every single angle, developing superior, more compact ergonomics that enable riders to spend long hours in the saddle, while also maintaining the opportunity to unleash its improved performance on track. An all-new signature LED headlight and simplified brake light with integrated turn signals add to the bike’s bold styling, complete with a lower profile that emphasizes its most up to date chassis.
In terms of handling, the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT receives the latest-generation chassis from THE BEAST, the 2024 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO. This chassis provides increased torsional stiffness and a lower center of gravity, offering optimal front tire feedback for superior control. Stability, combined with agile, sporty handling, has been further refined through the addition of the latest generation WP APEX Semi Active Technology (SAT) suspension components at both the front and rear. Also improved, is the heavily revised Comfort Mode for those longer days in the saddle – this was a major focus in the development phase and one that riders will feel the biggest difference from the previous generation model. This setup improves sensitivity, responsiveness, and offers greater customization options, delivering a more dynamic and adaptable riding experience.
With the boost in performance, you’ll need equally strong stopping power, which is achieved by the proven Brembo systems. Up front, it features a set of four-piston Stylema monoblock calipers gripping 320 mm floating discs, while the rear is equipped with a Brembo twin-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm disc for precise, controlled braking. A new MCS (multi-click-system) front brake lever enables increased adjustability, while Cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS, as well as the new Supermoto+ and Sport ABS modes provide riders with multiple options to control THE LONG DISTANCE BEAST.
Fitted with lightweight Michelin Power 6 tires featuring dual compound technology, straight line/cornering grip has been enhanced. Additionally, a new Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) with improved functionality allows riders to set a custom pressure for track riding.
A state-of-the-art electronics package has been developed and incorporated, offering class leading rider aids and a new Ride Mode concept. Its revolutionary 8.8-inch TFT (H88) touchscreen dashboard cannot be ignored, benefiting from a simplified menu structure, the CCU3.0 also ensures seamless reconnection with your smartphone on every ignition cycle. Functionality is at a premium including Offline Map Navigation, with relevant safety features integrated, and all able to be operated at the press of a button on the all-new handlebar switch cubes.
That high-tech experience extends to the Ride Modes, which are completely reworked and made up of Rain, Street, Sport as well as an all-new Custom mode as standard, in addition to optional 2 Custom configurations and an optional Track Mode that adds to its personalization capabilities. Keeping the tech experience at an all-time high is the addition of a Front Radar which adds a host of features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Brake Assist, Distance Assist and Group Riding. Demo Mode is also available for the first 1,500 km that permits customers to sample all the available tech in order to make an informed decision which tech pack best suits their needs.
With a major step forward for improved street riding character that doesn’t compromise its capabilities on the track, the opportunities are endless aboard the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT. It’s more of a BEAST than ever before and is prepared to go the distance – are you?
A full selection of KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear have also been developed for the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT riders, providing first-class personalization options, purposely crafted to elevate performance and protection, no matter how far or fast your journey will be.

SUPERIOR STATEMENT
Bodywork
After going to work on every single angle of the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT, the result is clear – a pure, sophisticated Sport Tourer with superior ergonomics. Its stance is more muscular and aggressive than ever before, where function was the main priority for the rider. A lower profile and an emphasized, more compact, chassis quickly establishes its positioning as a bike that can do it all, from track days to endless hours on the open road.
LIGHTS AHEAD
LED Headlight
The headlight design has been evolved, more aggressive, and with purposeful intent. Now inclusive of two central LED light units that operate both Low and High beam, riders will benefit from a larger field of view up to 90 degrees, and better near field illumination. Its signature daytime running light (DRL) automatically adjusts in intensity, while redeveloped LED cornering lights add to the effect. Add in the new headlight animation with a Start-up LED sequence and a Coming Home Light, and the technology is on a whole new level.
INSTANT PERFORMANCE
Engine
Sharing the same engine as the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO, with a torquey, powerful, exciting character that the latest version of the LC8 engine produces, instant performance is at the ready. With an engine displacement of 1350 cc, power and torque has been increased throughout the range – all of which you can immediately feel at a twist of the quick turn throttle. Cooling, optimisation, and performance have each been built upon, whole serviceability wasn’t overlooked, with increased service intervals doubled to 60,000 km (up from 30,000 km).
CONFIGURATION PLUS
Ride Modes
From the standard Rain, Street and Sport modes, as well as new concept of optional Custom and Track configurations, the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT screams personalization. The modes have been completely reworked and provide even greater feedback to the rider, and the good news is that traction control is less intrusive across the board, plus anti-wheeling is silky-smooth. Each mode results in its own dynamic character, which puts you in total control.
ON THE ATTACK
Track Mode
Inclusive of an optional Performance setting, Track Mode offers improved readability of the dash – courtesy of enlarged data and icons – and removes the need for secondary information. Launch Control comes into play, Anti-wheelie can be toggled off, and cruise control functionality are pushed aside. The end result? Riders can solely keep their focus on the pure essence of speed.
FIND YOUR WAY
Map Navigation
When taking to the open road, riders deserve the ultimate in navigation and that’s precisely what the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT delivers. From A to B Route Planning, to Active Guidance, and a Map View, navigation comes effortless, customizable for your needs and also featuring a customer default settings menu to add to the experience.
ALL-ROUNDER
Ergonomics
As a super-fast street bike built to lead the Sport Tourer segment, while still being highly capable on track, there is no denying that the bar has been raised. With performance the target, aggressive riding styles are accommodated. But there is no sacrificing on exceptional comfort, with the handlebars able to be rotated forward for a more upright riding position, and also including a windshield that can be set to a high and low positions to further enhance its sporty, touring-focused purpose.
SPEED MEETS COMFORT
Seat
With a seat height of 834 mm, the seat again places performance at the forefront, but is ultimately comfortable for all-day riding. Passengers will also enjoy the journey, with a pillion seat that has been designed for the real world and is actually usable for those ever-desired extended journeys together.
Footpegs
When it comes to Sports Touring, footpeg placement is key. And in the case of the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT, lean angle clearance has also been largely considered for when the pace heats up. Road or track, comfort and attack modes have each been catered for.
OPTIMIZED FOR PRECISION
Frame
With handling at a premium, the engine assists in elevating torsional stiffness, which is now 3 x higher than the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE GT. Along with a lower center of gravity and the goal of refining the connection between the frame, swingarm, triple clamps, and fork, precision has increased and front tire feedback is better than ever before. Stability has risen, and balance between comfort and racing the clock on track has been optimized.
CRITICAL INTENT
Swingarm
Equipped with a braced single-sided swingarm, it provides minimal weight, while offering exceptional torsional and axial stiffness. It’s largely unchanged in comparison to the previous model, but continues to promote lean angle stability and feedback from the rear wheel. Plus, the swingarm pivot’s position has been designed for a neutral anti-squat behavior, which adds balance under acceleration.
TECHNOLOGY REIGNS
Fork
The KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT is fitted with WP APEX Semi Active Technology (SAT), which is the most advanced suspension system on the market. Its WP APEX SAT fork features a new patented thru-rod construction, significantly lighter than the previous generation SAT fork and utilizing an Open Cartridge design. What the rider will feel is an excellent, more precise and consistent behavior, which boosts confidence and meets the demands of even the most experienced riders.
ADVANCEMENT PLUS
Rear Shock
Inclusive of electronically controlled damping and hydraulic pre-load adjuster, the WP APEX SAT shock’s design benefits from Dual Compression Control (DCC), which has a semi-active valve. This KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT-specific valve has an increased focus on performance, and an upgraded sensor measures travel and acceleration to ensure precise valve actuation. Its geometry is adjustable via pre-load, adding to the customization at hand. More advanced, highly developed, and better performing than anything of its kind.
LIGHTWEIGHT GRIP
Wheels and Tires
Lightweight and with a clever design process to achieve optimal strength/stiffness, the rims carryover for 2025 while continuing to excel, however, new Michelin Power 6 tires – 120/70-ZR17 on the front and 190/55-ZR17 on the rear – are 1,2 kg lighter than the previous specification. Featuring a dual compound technology and offering enhanced straight line/cornering grip, the improvements are clear.
BRAKES MATTER
Brakes
An updated Brembo braking system is a popular new addition to the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE GT’s, headlined by a brake cylinder that is self-venting and no longer requires brake bleeding. Four-piston Brembo Stylema monoblock calipers with 320 mm floating discs can be found at the front, with a twin piston floating caliper and a 240 mm disc at the rear. A new MCS (multi-click-system) hand brake lever increases adjustability, with the system complemented by Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS, as well as new Supermoto+ ABS and Sport ABS modes. Performance and safety – again – are paramount.
