2026 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide: 55 YEARS JUST RIDES BY.

Introducing the 2026 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide…

The 2026 Super Glide picks up where a generation of custom riders left off. White Onyx Pearl paint and vintage tank graphics pull straight from the original 1971 FX playbook, while tons of chrome, tubeless laced wheels, mini-apes, mid-controls, and a five-gallon tank give this modern take on the classic California cruiser the same custom-minded spirit that changed the motorcycle industry 55 years ago. The 2026 Super Glide takes the spirit that started the factory custom movement and lets it loose for a whole new generation of riders. Only 2,500 made for this year, and each one comes serialized.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON REVIVES ICONIC SUPER GLIDE MOTORCYCLE IN CELEBRATION OF AMERICA’S 250TH ANNIVERSARY

New Road Glide Liberty Edition Joins 2026 Enthusiast Collection Offering

MILWAUKEE (June 11, 2026) – Harley-Davidson today revealed the new limited-edition Super Glide motorcycle, 55 years after reviving the original Factory Custom motorcycle launched in 1971. The 2026 model’s definitive cruiser stance, laced wheels, brilliant chrome and classic paint and graphics are a tribute to the original 1971 Super Glide. Production will be limited to 2,500 serialized motorcycles and presented in 2026 as a Special Edition to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S.A.

The 1971 Harley-Davidson FX Super Glide was one of the first complete motorcycles styled by Willie G. Davidson, who joined the Motor Company as a designer in 1963 and was inspired in part by home-built custom motorcycles he had seen prowling the streets of Los Angeles. The FX Super Glide combined the Big Twin FL chassis with a narrow XL Sportster front fork. Its white finish with red and blue striping and stretched Bar and Shield tank graphic are reprised on the 2026 Super Glide model. The 2026 Super Glide will only be offered in the United States and Canada with an MSRP of $15,999* (U.S.).

2026 Super Glide Key Features

The 2026 Super Glide model joins the portfolio of Harley-Davidson Cruiser motorcycles based on the Harley-Davidson Softail chassis. The new Super Glide motorcycle offers timeless style – bright laced wheels, a five-gallon teardrop fuel tank topped with a chrome console, and a chrome mini ape handlebar that places the rider in a “fists in the wind” posture. Powertrain trim and covers, the air cleaner cover, exhaust, side covers, rear fender struts, signals and headlamp are finished in brilliant chrome. The fuel tank and fenders are finished in White Onyx Pearl paint topped with red and blue fender striping and graphics inspired by the 1971 Super Glide model. Serialization is presented on the fuel tank console.

The Super Glide model is powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic V-Twin engine tuned to emphasize ease in rideability with a flat torque curve to deliver satisfying street performance. The single muffler and classic round air cleaner produce the distinctive Harley-Davidson sound quality.

Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic Engine Performance

Displacement: 117 cubic inches (1923cc)     Bore x Stroke: 4.075″ x 4.50″

Compression Ratio: 10.3:1    Fuel Octane Recommendation: 91

Peak Torque: 120 lb. ft. (163 Nm)     Peak Horsepower: 98 hp (73 kW)

The Harley-Davidson Softail chassis is optimized to reduce weight without sacrificing stiffness. The rear suspension is hidden below the seat to maintain the classic look of a vintage hardtail frame while offering a thoroughly modern ride. Dual-bending valve 49 mm forks keep the front wheel in contact with the road surface for confident handling. A rear monoshock with under-seat hydraulic pre-load adjustment allows the rider to maintain optimal suspension performance for the prevailing load and road conditions. Rear suspension travel is 3.4 inches. Confident braking performance is provided by a single front disc brake with 300mm rotor and single rear brake with 292mm rotor. Tubeless laced wheels with bright aluminum hubs and chrome cast aluminum rims enable Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS). Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series tires (Front 100/90B19, Rear 150/80B16) enhance ride and handling performance.

Standard technology includes Rider Safety Enhancements by Harley-Davidson designed to enhance rider confidence during unexpected situations or adverse road conditions. The Super Glide model is equipped with following elements of Rider Safety Enhancements by Harley-Davidson:

  • Straight Line/Cornering Antilock Braking System (ABS/C-ABS)
  • Straight Line/Cornering Traction Control System (TCS/C-TCS)
  • Straight Line/Cornering Drag Torque Slip Control (DSCS/C-DSCS)
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS)

Selectable ride modes electronically control the performance characteristics of the motorcycle and the level of technology intervention. The rider may use the hand control Mode button to change the active ride mode while riding the motorcycle or when stopped. A unique icon for each mode appears on the instrument display when that mode has been selected. The Super Glide model is equipped with the following Ride Modes:

  • Road Mode: Intended for daily use, Road Mode delivers balanced performance.
  • Sport Mode: Classic Sport Mode features a flat and smooth torque curve with greater low- and high-speed torque that pulls hard in all gears and any speed, making it comfortable, forgiving, and easy to ride for days on end.
  • Rain Mode: This mode is designed to give the rider greater confidence when riding in the rain or when traction is otherwise limited.

All-LED lighting – a 5.75-inch headlamp with signature ring and combination stop/tail/turn rear lighting – is designed to deliver style, outstanding lighting performance, and conspicuity to other motorists. The five-inch diameter console-mounted instrument presents an analog speedometer display above a multi-function LCD digital display. The rider can use the Trip hand control button to scroll through available information in the LCD display. A USB-C charging port is located at the front-left side of the motorcycle.

New Road Glide Liberty Edition Enthusiast Collection Model

Harley-Davidson also announces the availability of the new Road Glide Liberty Edition model, the fourth motorcycle in the 2026 Liberty Edition Enthusiast Collection celebrating 250 years of the country where Harley-Davidson was born and raised. The Road Glide Liberty Edition joins the previously announced Street Glide, Street Glide 3 Limited and Heritage Classic Liberty Edition models. Each limited-edition Liberty Edition motorcycle is cloaked in Midnight Ember paint and features eagle graphics inspired by Harley-Davidson’s Bicentennial and Liberty Editions, connecting today’s riders to a legacy that moves America forward.

2026 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

White Onyx Pearl Paint + Vintage FX Graphics

White Onyx Pearl paint covers the larger five-gallon teardrop gas tank with stretched tank graphics and classic red-and-blue striping nodding directly to the 1971 FX’s iconic style, rooting the Super Glide in its heritage without living in the past.

Serialized Limited Edition
Each 2026 Super Glide motorcycle is individually serialized on the tank console as one of only 2,500 motorcycles produced worldwide to mark a rare return of one of the most influential names in Harley-Davidson history.

Chrome Details + Tubeless Laced Wheels
Brilliant chrome details and classic tubeless laced wheels come standard and bring timeless classic custom attitude into the modern era. Bright aluminum hubs and chrome wheels preserve the look riders love while supporting modern performance and tire pressure monitoring technology behind the scenes.

Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic Motor
The Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic motor delivers smooth, satisfying street performance with a broad torque curve that feels strong everywhere you ride. It pulls clean through the powerband without chop or slop, whether you’re rolling through town or settling into a long stretch of highway.

Selectable Ride Modes + Rider Safety Enhancements

2026 Super Glide Ride Modes
Selectable ride modes and Rider Safety Enhancements give the Super Glide a more adaptable feel without changing what makes the bike enjoyable to ride in the first place. Road, Sport, and Rain modes adjust throttle response and traction intervention for changing roads and weather, while Cornering ABS, traction control, drag-torque slip control, and Tire Pressure Monitoring help keep the ride feeling smooth, steady, and predictable when conditions get less than ideal. It’s modern technology built to support the experience, not interrupt it.

Milwaukee-Eight™ 117 Classic Motor
The Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic motor delivers smooth, satisfying street performance with a broad torque curve that feels strong everywhere you ride. It pulls clean through the powerband without chop or slop, whether you’re rolling through town or settling into a long stretch of highway.

2-Into-1 Exhaust
Built around efficient exhaust flow and smooth power delivery, the 2-into-1 exhaust helps the Super Glide feel responsive and easy to ride without sacrificing the low, familiar bark of a Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin motor.

Rear Monoshock With Hydraulic Preload Adjustment
A hidden rear monoshock with hydraulic preload adjustment lets you fine-tune suspension feel for changing loads and riding conditions without disrupting the clean custom profile. Comfort, quality, and classic style all live in the same place.

49 mm Front Suspension
The original FX shook things up with a leaner, lighter front-end feel borrowed from the Ironhead Sportster™ world of the ‘60s. On the 2026 Super Glide, dual-bending valve 49 mm forks bring a more planted and confident ride while keeping the same stripped-down custom spirit intact.

Selectable Ride Modes + Rider Safety Enhancements
Selectable ride modes and Rider Safety Enhancements give the Super Glide a more adaptable feel without changing what makes the bike enjoyable to ride in the first place. Road, Sport, and Rain modes adjust throttle response and traction intervention for changing roads and weather, while Cornering ABS, traction control, drag-torque slip control, and Tire Pressure Monitoring help keep the ride feeling smooth, steady, and predictable when conditions get less than ideal. It’s modern technology built to support the experience, not interrupt it.

Console-Mounted Instrumentation
A classic tank-mounted analog speedo sits above a multifunction LCD display that keeps ride information simple, clear, and easy to read from the saddle. It delivers modern functionality without losing the stripped-down feel and timeless style that define the Super Glide.

Adjustable Brake Lever
The adjustable front brake lever lets riders fine-tune reach and feel to better match hand size and riding preference. Easy adjustability helps riders dial in a more natural feel from the saddle.

“It really reminds me of the old ‘71 FX. The paint and graphics are spot on, I love the chrome, and the five-gallon tank makes a huge difference. But then you roll on that Milwaukee-Eight and it’s a whole different animal. My only question is: where’s the boattail?!”

The One Original. The New Super Glide.
The 2026 Super Glide takes the stripped-down spirit of the original FX and rebuilds it for today’s roads. Classic paint, gobs of chrome, and a laid-back stance meet modern Softail™ performance and the power of the Milwaukee-Eight™ 117 Classic motor for a ride that feels familiar in all the right ways. It’s low, long, uncomplicated, and built for riders who still believe the best rides happen when there’s no real plan at all.

RIDER SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS
Harley-Davidson’s Rider Safety Enhancements is all about giving you that extra peace of mind when things get a little unpredictable. It’s a set of smart tech that steps in during tricky situations, helping the Motorcycle handle traction while you’re accelerating, braking, or slowing down. With the Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements, the Motorcycle even adjusts for cornering, keeping things smooth and steady without you having to think twice.

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
ABS is designed to prevent the wheels from locking under braking and helps the rider maintain control when braking in a straight-line, urgent situation.

Traction Control System (TCS)
The TCS is designed to keep the rear wheel from “spinning out” when the motorcycle is accelerating in a straight line and enhances rider confidence.

Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS)
DSCS is designed to reduce excessive rear-wheel slip and help prevent rear-wheel lock under powertrain-induced deceleration, which typically occurs when the rider makes an abrupt downshift gear change or quickly reduces the throttle while on wet or slippery road surfaces.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
TPMS alerts the rider through the information display to low or high tire air pressure. Maintaining proper tire air pressure is important both for vehicle performance and tire life.

Cornering Enhanced Anti-lock Brake System (C-ABS)
C-ABS is a variant of ABS that takes into consideration the lean angle of a two-wheel motorcycle, or the lateral acceleration of a Trike model. The brake pressure required to limit wheel slip when cornering is typically or lower than the pressure required under straight line operation.

Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS)
C-TCS is designed to prevent the rear wheel from excessive spinning under acceleration when going straight or cornering.

Cornering Drag-Torque Slip Control System (C-DSCS)
On motorcycles equipped with C-DSCS, the system helps keep the rear wheel from slipping or locking up when you quickly downshift or let off the throttle, especially on wet or slippery roads. When turning, it can adjust based on how much a two-wheel Motorcycle is leaning or the side-to-side motion on a Trike.
