Based on the championship-winning YZ250F, a lightweight, compact chassis offers improved agility and handling in tight, technical terrain, along with better ergos and a more comfortable riding position for less fatigue over greater distances. The perfect weapon for carving up cross country courses.
Advanced 250cc Four-Stroke Engine
Tuned for cross country performance, the compact, powerful YZ250FX engine features a high-spec piston, aggressive cam profiles and forward positioned intake cylinder head layout. The advanced four-stroke engine is known for its broad, useable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque.
Innovative Yamaha Power Tuner App
Yamaha’s free, downloadable, and industry-leading Power Tuner App brings the flexibility and precision of the GYTR® Power Tuner straight to your smartphone. Dial in fueling and ignition timing changes on the app, then instantly upload them to your bike for ultimate trackside tuning. Features include an intuitive “Simple Tuning” slide bar for engine mapping, four-level Traction Control and Launch Control tuning, a lap timer, and helpful engine and suspension tuning guides.

Class-Leading Suspension
Unmatched championship-winning performance comes from the fully adjustable KYB® coil spring-type fork with speed-sensitive damping that delivers exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption. The fork includes a hand-adjustable knob for toolless compression adjustment. Linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock with specially tuned settings providing excellent stability and less pitch on corner entry/exit.
Cross Country Features
The YZ250FX comes race-ready out of the crate with an electric starting system, a 2.1-gallon fuel tank, wide-ratio six-speed transmission, rugged plastic skid plate, 18-inch rear wheel, sealed drive chain and high performance Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires.
