2003 Triumph Trophy

Trophy 1200

When a motorcycle continues to be in demand year after year, there’s undoubtedly an attraction and a charm to it that goes way beyond mere specification. The enduring Trophy is one such machine – powerful, supremely comfortable and with a capacious fully-integrated luggage system. It’s a no-nonsense, big-bore tourer in the grand style.
Behind the aerodynamically-efficient and massively protective fairing lies the heart of the machine, the potent 1180cc four-cylinder engine, cranking out a huge 104Nm (77ft lbs) of torque at only 5000rpm. With this sort of roll-on performance available, the six-speed gearbox can be left almost untouched as rapid, relaxed progress can be achieved using just top gear.
Smooth, beautifully-finished and mercifully free of electronic gimmickry, the Trophy is a machine from the traditional touring school of huge power harnessed in a rock-solid, stable chassis. When a bike is this right, year after year, it comes as no surprise that the only thing to be added for 2003 is a new colour option.
