2004 Yamaha YZ250 Review

2004 Yamaha YZ250

Bred For Battle…

We built the first production YZ250 in 1975. It commenced kicking tail immediately and promptly set the standard by which competition bikes were measured.

Even after all the victories and championships since then, including more AMA Supercross wins this season than anybody else (per Chad Reed), our beloved Supercross contender continues its relentless march toward perfection.

For 2004, constant refinement takes the form of larger, 48mm fork tubes with a new anti-stiction coating and revised settings for smooth, compliant feeling throughout the stroke, titanium footpegs, new gripper-style seat cover, and engine modifications for an even broader spread of power.

And in the name of speed, the quick-adjust clutch lever makes last-minute fine-tuning a one-gloved-thumb affair.

You’re riding more than a motorcycle when you’re on a YZ250. You’re flirting with destiny.
