California EV — This long distance cruiser with the legendary, updated 90º V-Twin with hydraulic self-adjusting valves is the culmination of custom touring, roadster performance and styling. Brembo Gold Series brakes. Integral braking system. Behr steel spoke tubeless rims. Available in Black and Chrome, Red and Black, Blue and Chrome or Light Silver and Grey.

Bringing the horizon nearer

Once upon a time there was the California. A motorcycle that created a whole new style, and became celebrated even in the USA where the cruising motorcycle was invented. The California was born to cruise, and provided its rider with all the comfort and convenience the true traveller needed.

The California was the bike for the rider who did not want to ride prone, the rider who enjoyed the ride more than the arrival. Today the California is still with us, in the thoroughly revisited 2003 EV version, ready to cruise again.

The California EV is powered by a brand new engine and also features a large number of other improvements to make this epitome of riding comfort an even better ride and even more comfortable.

The gear lever has been redesigned and lengthened to improve riding ergonomics for taller riders. New heat-shields have been fitted to the silencers to protect the legs of rider and passenger. And the rear shock absorber has been calibrated for a more comfortable ride, and for full impact absorbing power even with the motorcycle fully loaded.

The Guzzi design team has also looked carefully at the finer details, as the new stainless steel rust-free luggage rack shows.

The rider footplates and the footplate mat inserts are in stainless steel, and will stay looking good even if the surface gets scratched.

Under this new skin, however, the traditional strong points of this super cruiser remain unchanged: Brembo Gold brakes front and rear; elegant aluminium spoke wheels; and the most natural riding position there is.

Plus, of course, the true class and appeal of a Moto Guzzi California.
