– 2005 Yamaha PW80

The PW80 is a spunky, reliable bike that’s perfect for young riders who are looking for a more muscular mount.

Powered by a 79cc 2-stroke engine with an easy-shifting 3-speed transmission featuring automatic clutch and electronic ignition, this bike is just right for the rookie dirt demon in your family. A removable, power-limiting exhaust restrictor allows parents or adult supervisors to increase power output as a rider’s skill level improves. The automatic clutch emphasizes the basics of riding not shifting. The 25” seat height makes for a low centre of gravity and better handling. The lightest bike in its class – and available in Team Moto Guzzi blue and white – this puppy will have your little ones feeling like they’re runnin’ with the big dogs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Adult supervision and proper protective riding gear, including a helmet, are a must when a youngster is operating a PW80.

Engine:

Air-cooled, 79cc, reed-valve, 2-stroke engine delivers potent yet predictable power with smooth, torquey low-end performance.

Reed-valve intake system smooths power delivery and widens the powerband.

Smooth-shifting 3-speed transmission with automatic clutch is easy to use and introduces new riders to the basics of shifting without worrying about clutching.

Electronic CDI ignition produces a hot, reliable spark for fast starts and is virtually maintenance-free.

Exclusive Autolube Oil Injection System eliminates need to premix fuel and oil. This system precisely meters the exact amount of oil required by the engine. The oil tank is equipped with a sight glass to see actual oil level.

Washable foam air filter reduces maintenance costs.

Quiet, environmentally friendly exhaust system with heat shields will keep everybody happy. It also features a spark arrestor to protect Mother Nature.

Chassis/Suspension:

Rugged steel tube backbone-type frame.

Rugged triangulated steel swingarm.

Leading axle 26mm front fork provides 110mm (4.3″) of travel for confidence-inspiring control over rough terrain.

Monocross single shock rear suspension provides 95mm (3.7″) of wheel travel delivering progressive suspension performance to smooth out rugged trails. Two-stage spring preload can be adjusted to suit rider’s weight.

Low 635mm (25″) seat height creates a handling-enhancing low centre of gravity and allows most riders to put both feet firmly on the ground for added confidence.

Class-leading light weight of 57kg (126 lb) means quick, responsive steering and great maneuverability. Light weight also inspires confidence with novice riders.

14″ front and 12″ rear knobby tires offer excellent traction in the dirt.

Front and rear drum brakes are powerful and easy to adjust.

Features:

Plush, YZ-style seat is designed to provide easy rider movement for enhanced maneuverability.

Rugged plastic bodywork resists damage in the event of a tip over.

Team Moto Guzzi-inspired colours, graphics, and front and side number plates create styling similar to the larger YZ line-up.

Large, folding footpegs with rubber grips provide excellent footing even in wet or muddy conditions.

Premium-quality handgrips and levers are durable and comfortable.

Handy lifting strap at rear of seat

Safety Items:

Heat shields on engine and exhaust protects riders from hot components.

Removable exhaust pipe restrictor allows parents to increase top speed as skills improve.

Protective foam handlebar pad

2-piece upper and lower chain guard
