– 2006 Harley-Davidson XL 883L Sportster 883 Low
When the 883L hit the streets, its low-slung style became an instant favorite. Credit the dropped suspension and low solo seat bringing your back pocket to just 26″ above pavement. Combine that with a wide-stretched pullback handlebar and a nimble XL frame, and it’s a sweet ride, to say the least. What sweetens the feeling even more is the vibration-eating, rubber-mounted Evolution® engine. It provides plenty of low-end torque to get you where you need to go in a hurry. But that’s not the only thing behind this machine’s popularity. The price makes sure the 883L is high on affordability. The exclusive graphic treatment makes sure it’s never low on style.
OVERVIEW
A seat height of just 26 inches makes the XL Sportster 883L the lowest Sportster ever. Its ergonomics, designed specifically to fit smaller riders, include a solo seat with lower cushion height and positioned further forward than the Sportster 883. The handlebars are pulled further back and are wider, while mid-mount foot controls fit a wide variety of riders. Front and rear suspension is lowered and re-tuned to maintain precise handling. Offered in nine colors for 2006 with a special tank graphic.
