The 2006 TT-R250 is our flagship off-road recreational 4-stroker. The perfect machine for intermediate to serious off roaders, this bike features a potent 249cc, 4-valve, 4-stroke that growls out wicked low to mid-range torque for lots of excitement in the dirt. With 280mm (11”) of ground smoothing suspension, this TT-R eats up rough terrain. Convenient electric start, disc brakes, adjustable suspension, a spark arrestor, plus full enduro lighting send the fun meter right off the scale. Easy to use, simple to maintain, the TT-R250 is perfect that weekend ride. Don’t just ride the trails. Do battle.


Engine:

Potent, air-cooled, 249cc, DOHC, 4-valve, 4-stroke powerplant cranks out heaps of low- and mid-range torque perfect for hard-core trail riding.

4-valve cylinder head design provides optimum breathing efficiency for maximum power output.

Single-axis engine counterbalancer reduces vibration for maximum rider comfort.

Convenient, reliable electric starter ensures hassle-free, push-button starting.

30mm Teikei carburetor ensures crisp, reliable throttle response.

CDI ignition system is ultra-reliable, provides fast starts and never needs maintenance.

Automatic cam chain tensioner means minimal maintenance, reduced engine noise and longer engine life.

Smooth-shifting, 6-speed transmission with heavy-duty manual clutch taps the fat of the TT-R’s broad powerband for instant hook-up in a wide range of terrain and conditions.

Easy-access, tools-free air filter adds extra convenience. Washable foam filter reduces tune-up costs.

Lightweight, competition-style, stainless steel header pipe resists corrosion.

Large-capacity, quiet muffler with a spark arrestor to protect Mother Nature


Chassis/Suspension:


Semi-double-cradle frame design features a compact 1,405mm (55.3″) wheelbase to ensure superb maneuverability with quick, responsive steering.

Detachable rear subframe means easy access to suspension components.

Tapered, aluminum, box-section swingarm features easy-to-use, eccentric-type chain adjusters.

Leading axle, 43mm adjustable front fork with 280mm (11″) of wheel travel is calibrated to smooth out the harshest of bumps. Adjustments include: air preload adjustability and 20-way damping.

Durable fork boots ensure excellent fork seal and stanchion tube protection.

Monocross link rear suspension features a remote reservoir shock providing 280mm (11″) of wheel travel and delivering compliant, progressive performance for outstanding off-road handling.

Rear shock adjustments include: spring preload, 11-way compression and 16-way rebound damping.

Front 245mm disc brake with twin piston caliper delivers potent, one-finger stopping power.

220mm rear disc brake with single piston caliper and plastic caliper protector

Low-maintenance, “poly-lube” bearings are used on selected pivot points.

Lightweight, rugged, aluminum rims front and rear with straight pull spokes

Premium YZ-style, Dunlop knobbies front and rear provide motocross-spec grip.

9.5-litre, plastic fuel tank offers an extended riding range and resists damage in the event of a tip-over. On/off/reserve fuel petcock provides peace of mind.

Enduro-style, 35-watt, halogen headlight
