What was gone in 2025?
Sadly, while we discontinued our Total Motorcycle Forums after 23 years and say goodbye to over 330,000 posts, this allowed the entire site to be faster to load and offered the opportunity to focus more on the guides above, add even more new 2026 (and 2027) motorcycle model reviews as well as offer an even better User Experience. Thank you to the tens of thousands of members of our TMW Community Forums over the decades, you truly did make the motorcycling world an even better experience for all and made a difference in millions of lives out there around the world.
Also I continued (and paused) again Total Motorcycle Inspiration Friday. While I absolutely enjoy writing inspiring stories, covering inspiring motorcycle events and talking about all the amazing things happening all around the world in our sport few read them. Maybe come summer I’ll try it again and see if I can get the readership up for them, they are wonderful stories.
What might change in 2026?
The internet. Yes, that’s quite the bucket. But it’s truer today than back in 2000. 2025 brought about a monumental shift at how people now use the internet because of AI (Artificial Intelligence) with Chatbots, LLM’s and the like. Google is no longer a Search Engine like it was in 2024, in fact, Google is quickly becoming our 3rd traffic source (it was 1st for over 20 years) as Google changes their Search to be more AI and ad based sponsor results dropping traditional website listings. We get hundreds of thousands of requests from Chatbots each day (some questions getting asked over 64,000 times) with little click back to the website source. While disconcerting, we see it as a new opportunity to introduce even more people into a riding lifestyle and discovering the joy of motorcycling!
